PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump questioned Kamala Harris’s right to run for president, labeling her nomination as a "threat to democracy." He made these comments after she secured the Democratic Party's nomination without winning the primary.

Harris was nominated as the Democratic Presidential candidate after President Joe Biden withdrew from the race in July, following a poor debate performance against Trump in June and growing concerns among Democrats about his health, as per Newsweek

Donald Trump questions Kamala Harris' 'run for presidency'

On Friday, August 23, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, "Kamala Harris is the Weakest Presidential Candidate in History on Crime. She's allowed millions of people to pour through our Borders, many from prisons, mental institutions and, indeed, terrorists, coming in at levels never seen before."

He added, "What gives her the right to run for President? She got no votes to Biden's 14 Million. She failed in her previous attempt, was the first one out of 22 people to quit, never made it to Iowa, and now she's a Presidential Candidate? This is a Threat to Democracy!"

At a news conference in Arizona near the US-Mexico border, Trump described Kamala Harris replacing Biden as the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate as a "coup."

He said, "It's a very sad time for this country in many ways. We had a candidate — I was no fan of Joe Biden — but the way he was taken out was a coup."

Trump wrote, "There will be no future under Comrade Kamala Harris, because she will take us into a Nuclear World War III. She will never be respected by the Tyrants of the World!"

As Kamala Harris accused Trump of pressuring congressional Republicans to block a bipartisan bill aimed at addressing migrant issues at the southern border, Trump responded by posting, "The Border Bill is one of the worst ever written; it would have allowed millions of people into our country and is merely a political ploy by her."

He added, "It legalizes Illegal Immigration, and is a TOTAL DISASTER, WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE!"
