This came after the ex-leader announced on his Truth Social page that Russia would soon release Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.

He reportedly posted, “Evan Gershkovich, the Reporter from The Wall Street Journal, who is being held by Russia, will be released almost immediately after the Election, but definitely before I assume Office.”

“He will be HOME, SAFE, AND WITH HIS FAMILY. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, will do that for me, but not for anyone else, and WE WILL BE PAYING NOTHING!” Trump stated.

Meanwhile, people immediately began calling Trump out for his remarks in the Bronx.

Another said, “He’s absolutely disgusting. Horrific.”

A person commented, “Disgraceful. Utterly Disgraceful.” Someone else said, “This is how Germany got the big ‘H’. It’s happening in real-time.”

“Have we offered to send Donald to Hamas? Pardon? Sure. That's an idea, we could trade him for the hostages. I was just proposing we send him to Hamas,” a user quipped.

Another stated, “He alone can fix it. As if his policies did not contribute to the mess in the Middle East.” “No one more narcissistic than him and that’s saying a lot considering he’s a politician,” someone added.
