THE BRONX, NEW YORK: Donald Trump has been blasted online after he claimed that the allegedly rigged 2020 election was the cause behind Hamas' October 7 attacks on Israel.

He also asserted that many of the over 200 people taken hostage by Hamas “are dead” while addressing a rally in the Bronx on Thursday, May 23, as reported by Mediaite.com.

Donald Trump says Hamas wouldn’t have attacked Israel if he was President

The 77-year-old presidential candidate said, “I see a lot of flags, a lot of flags right out of Israel. I said it a month ago, and it’s a terrible thing to say, but I believe it.”

He further stated, “Many of the hostages that you’re waiting for and everybody’s waiting for, those hostages – many of them – are dead. Many of them are dead, and it’s a horrible thing. It’s a horrible thing. but many of those hostages are dead.”

Trump also mentioned that if he had won the 2020 election, Israel won’t have suffered.

“It would’ve never happened if the election weren’t rigged! It would’ve never happened. If I became president, they would have never done it,” he added.

Donald Trump announces release of reporter Evan Gershkovich

This came after the ex-leader announced on his Truth Social page that Russia would soon release Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.

He reportedly posted, “Evan Gershkovich, the Reporter from The Wall Street Journal, who is being held by Russia, will be released almost immediately after the Election, but definitely before I assume Office.”

“He will be HOME, SAFE, AND WITH HIS FAMILY. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, will do that for me, but not for anyone else, and WE WILL BE PAYING NOTHING!” Trump stated.

Internet says Trump is ‘utterly disgraceful’

Meanwhile, people immediately began calling Trump out for his remarks in the Bronx.

A tweet read, “Pure narcissistic insanity.”



 

Another said, “He’s absolutely disgusting. Horrific.”



 

A person commented, “Disgraceful. Utterly Disgraceful.” Someone else said, “This is how Germany got the big ‘H’. It’s happening in real-time.”



 



 

“Have we offered to send Donald to Hamas? Pardon? Sure. That's an idea, we could trade him for the hostages. I was just proposing we send him to Hamas,” a user quipped.



 

Another stated, “He alone can fix it. As if his policies did not contribute to the mess in the Middle East.” “No one more narcissistic than him and that’s saying a lot considering he’s a politician,” someone added.
