WASHINGTON, DC: Marla Maples, the second wife of Donald Trump, said in a recent interview that she is "open to whatever way that [she] can serve" the former president, including serving as his vice president. She also said she had forgiven her ex-husband for cheating on her with Melania Trump, according to the Daily Beast.

Following Maples and Trump's widely reported affair, Trump and his first wife Ivana divorced in 1990. The two later got married in 1993. After getting divorced in 1999, Maples was left to raise their daughter Tiffany.

"Anything from the past I've forgiven," Maples said to the Evening Standard, noting that "marriages are challenging, especially when you play them out in the media".

After their divorce, Maples received a $1 million settlement and $100,000 in child support. According to Maples, she became interested in politics when her daughter Tiffany played a significant role in Trump's 2016 campaign.

Adding that she felt compelled to support Tiffany, and by extension, her ex-husband, she said, "I’ve never been a fan of politics. I see how it can separate and divide us, at the same time, I found myself in the throes of it."

Sources who talked with the Standard claim that Maples is even thinking about running for vice president. When questioned if this is true, Maple laughed and said, "Someone would have to ask my ex-husband about that."

But she added quickly, "I’m open. I’m open to whatever way that I can serve."

"Right now everyone [in the Trump family] is just seeing how we can help."

Notably, on her website, Maples describes herself as a yoga instructor as well as an actress, radio host, spirituality, and wellness advocate. She also agrees with Robert F Kennedy Jr on vaccinations in general.

The Daily Beast had published an article on her conspiracy-laden Instagram postings in August 2020. The article claimed that Bill Gates implanted microchips into individuals by using Covid-19 vaccinations as a Trojan horse.
