Tracing the educational journeys of the Trump family

Barron Trump, the only child of former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump, has graduated from high school. On May 17, 2024, Barron received his diploma from Oxbridge Academy, a prestigious institution near West Palm Beach, Florida. This has sparked curiosity about his future, particularly his plans for higher education. Although the former first couple has remained tight-lipped about his college plans, speculation abounds. One possibility is New York University in Manhattan, while Donald Trump has earlier hinted his youngest son could go to the University of Pennsylvania too. Here's a sneak peek into the educational backgrounds of the Trump family.

Barron Trump

As of June 13, 2024, the Trump family has not disclosed Barron Trump’s college plans. His graduation from Oxbridge Academy has left many wondering about his future educational pursuits. Considering his family's academic history and the institutions they have attended, Barron has several potential paths. Last year, Donald Trump mentioned that Barron was "thinking" about the University of Pennsylvania, the same institution from which Donald Trump graduated. Additionally, New York University remains a plausible option, given Barron's childhood ties to Manhattan.

Donald Trump

Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, attended the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in May 1968 with a bachelor's degree in economics. The Wharton School is renowned for its rigorous business and finance programs, and Trump's education there has often been highlighted during his career in real estate and politics.

Melania Trump

Melania Trump, the former First Lady, has a different educational background compared to her husband. Born in Slovenia, Melania began her modeling career at the age of 16. She briefly attended the University of Ljubljana but left after one year to focus on modeling. According to biography.com, Melania worked in Milan and Paris before moving to New York in 1996. Her modeling career included appearances on the covers of prominent magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, GQ, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Melania met Donald Trump at a fashion party in New York in 1998, leading to their engagement in 2004 and marriage in 2005.

Donald Trump Jr

Donald Trump Jr, the eldest son of Donald Trump, followed in his father's footsteps by attending the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School of Finance. Trump Jr's education at Wharton provided him with a solid foundation for his subsequent career in business and politics.

Eric Trump

Eric Trump, another of Donald Trump's sons, graduated from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance and management in 2006. Georgetown University, located in Washington, DC, is known for its strong business program, which equipped Eric with the skills necessary for his role in the Trump Organization.

Ivanka Trump

Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump's eldest daughter, began her college education at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. After two years, she transferred to the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Ivanka graduated cum laude in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Her education at Wharton, combined with her business acumen, has played a significant role in her professional endeavors.

Tiffany Trump

Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump's daughter from his marriage to Marla Maples, also attended the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sociology. Four years later, Tiffany earned her law degree from Georgetown Law School, graduating in 2020. Her graduation, like many others that year, was marked by a virtual commencement ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic, USA Today reported.
