'Don't fall for it!' Oprah Winfrey roasted after she denies 'disturbing' rumors of Taraji P Henson feud
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Oprah Winfrey has taken down the rumors that nothing is good between her and Taraji P Henson after the latter alleged that she and other castmates were initially not given food and trailers on the set of ‘The Color Purple.’
Oprah was the producer of the movie, which premiered on December 25. Henson also reportedly accused the makers of the film of pay discrimination.
Oprah Winfrey claims she's 'been the champion for everybody’
But on Sunday, January 7, on the red carpet for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, Oprah told Gayle King, “It’s so disturbing to me. Why is my name even in this conversation? Why is my name in this conversation?”
“Cause I have just been the champion for everybody,” Oprah remarked, as per Daily Mail.
Oprah further said, “I heard that Taraji was upset because she had been asked to [use] a rental car.”
“I personally called Toby Emmerich, who was at the time the head of Warner Bros, and he said, ‘Well that means we have to do cars for everybody,’” she recalled.

She then added, “So that was one thing, trailers were another thing, food was another thing. And everything got handled.”
Winfrey also spoke with Entertainment Tonight regarding the speculative clash as she noted, “I would just like to say about this whole Taraji thing ... I heard I was trending yesterday.”
Oprah Winfrey did whatever she could do to 'make it right'
Oprah shared, “People are saying that I was not supporting Taraji. Taraji will tell you herself that I've been the greatest champion of this film.
“Championing not only the behind-the-scenes projection but also everything that everybody needed,” she added.
“So whenever I heard that there was something that someone needed, I'm not in charge of the budget because that's Warner Brothers you know that's the way the studio system works,” Oprah stated.
Oprah asserted that “we as producers, everybody gets their salary everybody is negotiated by your team.”
“And so, whenever I heard there was an issue or there was a problem, there was a problem with cars or the problem with their food, I would step in and do whatever I could to make it right,” Oprah revealed.
