LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It looks like Drake might be getting a second shot with Jennifer Lopez, as things have been getting pretty flirty between them, according to a source.

The insider told In Touch that the Canadian rapper wasted no time and "reached out" to his old flame as soon as she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck

Drake seems to be pulling out all the stops to win Jennifer Lopez over

"As soon as she filed the papers, Drake reached out. He was very sweet and told her what a fool Ben is for letting her get away, and then he quickly let her know he’s ready and willing to step in and satisfy her," spilled the tipster.

Of course, this isn't the first time these two have had a romantic connection. Back in 2016, Drake and Lopez were all over each other on social media, sharing cozy photos and even being spotted smooching at a prom-themed party.

In February 2017, the 'Atlas' actress coyly admitted that they were "hanging out." While she didn’t exactly dive into the specifics of their relationship back then, it was clear that there was some serious chemistry brewing. Moreover, their supposed romance lasted only a couple of months.

Jennifer Lopez loves hearing from Drake every day

Now, years later, that chemistry is apparently back. "They have their own history and a lot of chemistry, so it really did a lot to make her smile," revealed the source, adding, "Getting that kind of attention when she was feeling so low was exactly what she needed. Now they’re texting every day and things are getting hot."

But while things are heating up, Lopez is keeping her guard up this time around. The insider explained that she’s "well aware" of Drake’s reputation as a player and isn’t rushing into anything serious.

"She’s not putting him in the relationship category but Drake definitely meets her needs for a hook-up," shared the tipster.

It’s clear that Drake knows how to turn up the charm, even from a distance.

The insider continued, "He’s very intelligent and romantic and she can count on him being discreet because he’s always kept her secrets in the past. It’s still in the sexting stage but she loves hearing from him and sharing sexy selfies, he’s very quick to compliment her and he lays it on thick."

But is this just a fun distraction for the singer or could it turn into something more? That’s up to her. The source suggested that Drake is ready and waiting for Lopez to take things beyond the texting phase.

They said, "He’s prepared to drop everything and meet her wherever she wants. It’s just a matter of her being in the right head space."

Jennifer Lopez gets candid about her split from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is fresh off her split from Ben Affleck, who she married just two years ago. The actress officially filed for divorce on August 20, which just so happened to be the two-year anniversary of their lavish Georgia wedding.

She listed April 26 as their separation date — thus marking the end of a love story that started way back in the early 2000s.

Their relationship has had more twists and turns than Lombard Street. They first fell in love in the early 2000s, almost walked down the aisle in 2003, then called it quits and went their separate ways.

Fast-forward nearly 20 years, and they found their way back to each other, eloping in July 2022 and throwing a bigger celebration a month later.

But as Lopez put it herself, things didn’t turn out quite like she expected. In a candid interview with Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine, the singer didn’t hold back about how she’s been feeling since the split.

"It feels desperate. But when you sit in those feelings and go, ‘These things are not going to kill me,’ it’s like, actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself. Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people," admitted Lopez.

She shared that she's "not looking for anybody" and is more focused on finding her own peace.

"For people who are romantics and love being in relationships and want to grow old with somebody, we think, ‘I have to have that to be whole and happy.’ And you don’t," explained the 55-year-old.

Reflecting on her two-year marriage to Affleck, Lopez shared, "I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, ‘That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like.’ And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go."

She admitted, "It almost took me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, 'F**k, that is exactly what I needed.' Thank you, god. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago."
