'Dude has a tattoo of Nixon': Internet shreds Roger Stone as calls Ron DeSantis a 'crook' in furious rant
WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump’s ally and long-term friend Roger Stone became the target of a furious internet backlash as he launched a slew of scathing digs at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
On Saturday, December 23, Stone, the former advisor to President Trump, shared multiple memes on X to ramp up his attacks on DeSantis, who is struggling to overcome low polling numbers.
In one photo that Stone posted, the derisive moniker "Life After DeSanctimonious," which Trump gave to DeSantis, appears written above a guy holding a sign that reads, "Homeless please help."

Another features a cropped image of a cereal box with the words "Frosted Flake" and "Team DeSantis" printed on it. "These Desimps are so tedious," Stone wrote, a play on the slang term "simp.”
That same day, he described DeSantis as "a treacherous, backstabbing, weasel devoid of any character whatsoever" in another post.

DeSantis is "actually a mutant with a severe personality disorder" and "as soon as he drops out of the presidential campaign an aggressive investigation into his personal finances will reveal that he's also a crook,” Stone added, according to Newsweek.
Imagine being Roger Stone, imagine being Trump’s #1 henchman and tweeting about other people being “Treacherous, backstabbing, weasel devoid of any character.”

What did Roger Stone say about Casey DeSantis?
In recent days, Stone has also used social media to bash DeSantis' wife Casey DeSantis, who is widely regarded as his primary political adviser.
Stone claimed on Friday that "you cannot organize and mobilize voters for a candidate that the voters hate" in response to a New York Times story claiming that DeSantis' campaign has "sputtered."
"No one who has ever gotten to know Ron DeSantis or his wife likes them. They are repugnant self-promoters,” he added.
Stone previously faced another backlash for his thinly veiled misogynistic comment aimed at Casey. And in September, Stone attacked Florida congressman Matt Gaetz for his support of DeSantis.
"You created this monster who has proven to be a backstabbing weasel and ingrate," Stone told Gaetz at the time, adding "He's done and if you keep kissing his a**, so are you."
Internet reacts to Stone’s remarks
Stone’s furious digs have garnered immense social media attention, with users blasting him for attacking the Florida Governor. “And you're a good man? You set up A good man Al Franken,” one user attacked.
“The dynamics between Roger Stone and Trump do make for an interesting scenario,” the second user slammed. “Oh, the irony! That's what Trump has been doing since he was fired in 2020. Birds of a feather....” the third user attacked.
“That’s one of the problems you have with cults, once you’ve been thrown out, you don’t want to go back in,” the fourth user fumed while the fifth user wrote, “Dude has a tattoo of Nixon. Not despite him being a criminal, because he was a criminal. Roger Stone is a villain.”
“Roger has some expertise in "crooks." Perhaps we should listen to him. He's obviously a great judge of character too...............” one more said.
“He should know all about politicians being crooks besides being one himself he has one tattooed on him,” another user wrote.
