Elizabeth Hurley may marry Billy Ray Cyrus amid whirlwind romance as pal shares why she’s fallen for him

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It looks like Elizabeth Hurley has fallen head over heels for Billy Ray Cyrus.

The stunning English actress, 59, and the country music icon, 63, seemed to make things official on Easter Sunday when they posted a sweet moment on Instagram.

The pair first crossed paths back in 2022 while playing romantic leads in the holiday movie 'Christmas In Paradis'. But The US Sun reveals their story didn’t truly heat up until much later, when Billy reached out to Elizabeth for support as his third marriage crumbled. 

Now, insiders say Elizabeth and Billy have been growing closer for months, and whispers of wedding bells are already in the air.

“Everyone is saying Billy and Liz are world’s apart, but actually they are very similar. They have a lot in common and have the same interests. Billy is also very much her type — he has a real twinkle in his eye and a naughty streak that she can’t resist,” a source spilled.

Elizabeth Hurley has famously had a type, and it’s safe to say Billy Ray Cyrus probably fits the bill. Her dating history includes headline-grabbing romances with the likes of Hugh Grant and the late cricket legend Shane Warne.

While Elizabeth knows Billy isn't exactly perfect, she’s determined to follow her heart this time around. “He really reminds her of Shane Warne, they have a very similar energy about them. Liz has a really good time with Billy — they share a lot of laughs and he is a real flirt, which she loves," a friend explained. 

After her painful split from Warne back in 2013, Elizabeth stayed guarded for years. But now, it seems she’s finally ready to move on, and Billy might just be "the one."

"Shane was the love of her life and it has taken her years to be able to move on but she finally feels like she is able to. Billy isn’t perfect and neither was Shane but Liz truly believes they have a strong future together," the source explained.

“She is nearly 60 and deep down does want to share her life with someone and settle down. Everyone is saying he could be the one, so don’t be surprised if she marries again,” they added. 

A love story that’s been kept under wraps

The Sun reported that Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus reconnected quietly last year after the latter's marriage to Australian singer Firerose collapsed.

“Liz has been keeping the whole thing under wraps and has barely told anyone. She wanted to make sure there was really something special between them before telling the world," a source revealed. 

Apparently, Billy was the one to reach out during a tough time, and Elizabeth stepped up to support him through it.  

“There has always been a spark, but he reached out again last year when his short-lived third marriage ended. He has had a really hard time, but she has been there helping him turn things around," they continued.

“Liz has been really great for him, but her friends are cautious because of what’s been said in the past about him. She insists he has turned a corner and is a changed man," the tipster star. 

On Easter, Elizabeth took to Instagram to share a snap of Billy planting a kiss on her cheek. She captioned the post, “Happy Easter,” with a heart emoji. Her son, Damian Hurley, also celebrated the moment in the comments section.

Billy Ray Cyrus' family feud lingers in the background

But not everyone seems thrilled. Notably, none of Billy Ray Cyrus’ six children, including pop superstar Miley Cyrus, acknowledged Elizabeth Hurley's Easter post.

The Cyrus family has been stuck in a messy feud ever since Billy and Tish Cyrus ended their 29-year marriage in 2022. Things got even more tense when Billy quickly got engaged to Firerose, who is only four years older than Miley.

Billy and Firerose’s marriage didn’t last long. Their divorce was finalized by August 2024— barely a year after they tied the knot. Now, it's unclear how or if Billy's children will come around as his romance with Elizabeth heats up.
