Elon Musk slammed for mocking Volodymyr Zelensky's attire but wearing MAGA hat and T-shirt to WH meetings

WASHINGTON, DC: The internet erupted in criticism after reporters mocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's attire during his explosive Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

People online pointed out the apparent hypocrisy of the criticism, particularly when tech billionaire Elon Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative, has shown up at the White House in casual attire without facing similar scrutiny.

Volodymyr Zelensky, who has worn military fatigues since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, arrived at the White House in a black 3/4-zip sweater and baggy jeans.

In response to Zelensky's attire, Trump quipped with a handshake, "He's all dressed up today!" Musk, finding the remark amusing, posted it to X (formerly Twitter) along with a laughing-face emoji.

However, internet critics flipped Musk’s comment back on him, highlighting the irony of MAGA supporters criticizing Zelensky’s attire while Musk had recently attended a cabinet meeting wearing a T-shirt and a MAGA ball cap, Raw Story reported.

The tense meeting, where Trump and Zelensky were set to sign a rare minerals deal as a reward for assistance with the war effort, ended abruptly when Trump ordered the Ukrainian delegation to leave the White House.

After Elon Musk mocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's attire, the focus soon shifted to him as social media users pointed out the double standard. Critics highlighted the irony of the MAGA crowd mocking Zelensky for his military uniform while Musk had previously attended a cabinet meeting wearing a T-shirt and MAGA ball cap.

"Jacket over a tee shirt & a baseball cap isnt exactly oval office dress up either……" a social media user fired back, sharing Musk's image from the White House.

'The View' host Ana Navarro posted on X, "Trumpers saying it was disrespectful for Zelensky, a President at war, to visit the Oval Office in the black shirt without a collar, he wears everywhere. Yes, the same Trumpers who applaud Musk showing-up at the Oval looking like he’s attending a bit-coin conference in Miami."

A liberal commentator also expressed frustration at the hypocrisy, writing, "All these MAGA morons slagging Zelensky off for his choice of outfit in the Oval Office today and crying that it's not formal enough, yet Musk turns up in a T-shirt and trucker hat while his kid stands there picking his nose??? The hypocrisy is unreal, have a f-----g day off."

A person mocked Musk, saying, "Yea, at least he ain’t wearing a dumb cap to meetings!"

Another chimed in, "Dude, your outfit looks like that guy in the park playing with himself in the bushes."
