WASHINGTON, DC: Tech billionaire Elon Musk's former friend, Philip Low, claimed that the ex-DOGE head would do everything he could to damage President Donald Trump.

During an interview with Politico on Monday, June 30, Low shared that he has had his share of blowouts with the Tesla CEO over the years.

Philip Low warns Elon Musk is going to do 'everything to damage the president'

Philip Low informed the outlet, "I’ve had my share of blowouts with Elon over the years. Knowing Elon the way I know him, I do think he’s going to do everything to damage the president."

Musk spoke out against Trump's signature "One Big Beautiful Bill," calling it "a disgusting abomination" in an X (formerly Twitter) post in early June.

The multi-billionaire renewed attacks against the bill on Saturday, and argued on X that it would destroy millions of jobs and "cause immense strategic harm to our country," according to Fox News.

Meanwhile, Low told Politico, "He has been humiliated. The whole idea that Elon is going to be on his side and help woo Congress and invest in election campaigns for right-wing judges — Elon might do all of that, but deep down, it’s over."

Low is a neuroscientist and founder of the company NeuroVigil. He has known Musk for 14 years and fired him from NeuroVigil's advisory board after the tech billionaire expressed he wanted to be taken off the board, thereby preventing him from exercising stock options to hurt NeuroVigil, as per Politico.

Furthermore, the report added that both Musk and Trump's sides expressed tensions have cooled since their viral online spat earlier in June. The SpaceX CEO had apologized, and Trump said there were no "hard feelings," as per Fox News.

However, Low suggested that Musk is just biding his time. “It’s not a question of if, it’s a question of when,” he said, suggesting the tech mogul could seek revenge behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Harrison Fields mentioned in a statement to Politico, "Politico’s fixation on another palace intrigue non-story is laughable and fundamentally unserious. The President is focused on Making America Great Again by securing our border, turning the economy around, and pursuing peace around the globe."

Elon Musk returns to slamming Donald Trump’s 'big, beautiful bill'

In a barrage of X posts on Saturday, Elon Musk slammed Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill" as nothing short of a disaster, and called it "utterly insane and destructive" while warning it could be "political suicide" for the Republican Party.

The tech billionaire wrote, "The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!"

He mentioned in a follow-up post, "This bill raises the debt ceiling by $5 TRILLION, the biggest increase in history," warning that this move would mean "putting America in the fast lane to debt slavery!"

Musk further ripped into the bill’s economic priorities and accused it of favoring dying industries while punishing innovation.

"It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future," the Tesla CEO said.

Musk also shared a post from another user who wrote, "We’re not shooting ourselves in the foot. We’re shooting ourselves in the chest," and Musk added, "Yes, utter madness!"

Meanwhile, in another post that showed Republican polling data, he wrote, "Polls show that this bill is political suicide for the Republican Party."

Around 58 percent of Republicans believe the bill will "burden Americans with crushingly unsustainable debt," per the numbers Musk shared.
