Epstein suggested Obama counsel Kathryn Ruemmler to present ‘the other side of’ him to Melinda Gates
WASHINGTON, DC: Newly released emails from the highly controversial Epstein files have reportedly revealed that Jeffrey Epstein once suggested that top lawyer Kathryn Ruemmler should represent him on his behalf to Bill Gates’s now-ex-wife, Melinda French Gates.
In 2017, a third party had informed the late businessman that the Microsoft co-founder wanted to “talk to you but his wife won’t let him.” In response, Epstein said that Ruemmler, who was principal deputy White House counsel and White House Counsel to former President Barack Obama, should be brought into play to speak with Melinda Gates to give her “the other side of Jeffrey.”
Epstein, in an email to an unidentified person, said, “Bill met my friend Kathy [R]uemmler, Obama counsel for 5 yrs. She would love to sit with Melinda and give her the other side of [J]effrey."
"She is an arch feminist who is my great defender," he asserted.
Kathryn Ruemmler claims 'never advocated' for Epstein
But Ruemmler’s spokeswoman has denied any ties to Epstein.
“Ms. Ruemmler had no control over how Epstein characterized her or their interactions. She was not his defender. She never advocated on his behalf with any third party — not Melinda Gates, not the press, not a court, not a government official,” she shared with The New York Post.
Moreover, a source close to Melinda has noted that she and Ruemmler never met.
Bill Gates used to listen to Jeffrey Epstein's advices
This revelation is among many that show Gates and Epstein’s apparent close ties. The tranche of Epstein emails released by the federal government has even presented the Microsoft co-founder taking advice from the disgraced financier for his philanthropic efforts.
In December 2014, Gates wrote to Epstein, “I enjoyed the breakfast a lot. All of the attendees were interesting=people. We managed to talk about philanthropy=enough to get their reaction without putting them on the spot too much…”
“So I think the breakfast was a success in terms of relationships I value and will continue to spend time on,” he added.
In response, Epstein reportedly said, “As usual everyone liked=you alot. each surprised by how knowledgeable you were about many var=ous subjects. I suggest we have another meeting.”
“Let me run it. moderate it. etc. or if you prefer I m happy to have someone e=se in my place, but that person has to present a structure, explain=it. ask questions of everyone,” he wrote, before adding, “=any interesting people visiting the island over holidays. of course =ou and your family are welcome.”
