Erika Kirk to mark Charlie Kirk’s first death anniversary privately with family
DALLAS, TEXAS: Erika Kirk plans to keep a low profile as she marks the first anniversary of her husband Charlie Kirk’s death.
A family spokesperson said she will spend the day privately with their two young children, family, and close friends.
The anniversary comes as public tributes are being held for the Turning Point USA founder, including a Thursday night ceremony at Utah Valley University, where Charlie was assassinated during one of his “Prove me wrong” campus events.
Erika attended President Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas on Wednesday, September 9, but her family’s statement suggests she will not attend the Utah ceremony.

“Erika will mark the anniversary of Charlie’s death privately with her and Charlie’s two young children, their family, and close friends,” a family spokesperson said.
The spokesperson also shared Erika’s gratitude for the support she and her family have continued to receive.
“She is so grateful for the continued outpouring of prayers, love, and support as she and her family remember and honor Charlie as the beloved husband and father he was.”
The private plans come as Charlie’s death is being remembered publicly across the political world and beyond.
Erika, 37, became CEO of Turning Point USA in the days after her husband’s murder. She has since remained closely connected to the organization he founded.
