Expert mocks 'poorly designed' Trump's $100K watches in scathing analysis, calls it 'pretty cheap stuff'
WASHINGTON, DC: A luxury watch expert recently tried to give a serious review of former president Donald Trump's new line of timepieces, but struggled to maintain his composure.
Oisín O Malley, a prominent watch reviewer on YouTube and UX designer, reviewed Trump's newly released $100,000 Tourbillon gold watch and found several flaws that left him laughing throughout the 15-minute video.
Oisin O Malley dismisses Donald Trump's cheaper watch model as 'pretty cheap'
The watch, part of Donald Trump's new collection, didn't impress Oisin O Malley, who quickly identified issues with its design and price tag.
Oisín O Malley began by reviewing the $799 Fight Fight Fight onyx gold-plated watch.
He immediately deemed it “pretty cheap stuff,” brushing off any real value in its craftsmanship. His disappointment only grew as he moved on to Trump's Tourbillon watch.
While analyzing the $100,000 Tourbillon model, O Malley took issue with the promotional photos.
“I know gold watches very well — I have one here on my wrist — and when you see the fake gold watches, this is what the gold looks like,” he said, pointing out how the images poorly represented the watch, Raw Story reported.
Design and font in Donald Trump's watch leaves expert baffled
Oisin O Malley laughed when he looked at the back of the Tourbillon watch which had the slogan “Fight Fight Fight” inscribed on it.
"Ah, boy, the back is too much man," he remarked, reffering to the moment when Donald Trump stood up and raised his fist surrounded by secret service after a bullet fired by an assasin grazed his ear.
"This is a very poorly designed watch. It’s very, very basic, it looks like it was designed on a computer, on one of these standard watch-building sites,” O Malley added.

One more element of the watch that puzzled O'Malley was the font chosen for Trump's name.
“I don’t know where the hell they came up with this font," he said, criticizing it for not matching the iconic font used on Trump's buildings.
Expert says Donald Trump's watch designs 'don't make a lot of sense'
The decision to stud the bezel with diamonds also seemed nonsensical to Oisin O Malley. “There’s nothing to time here,” he joked, before questioning the point of the feature.
"Unless you're in the mood for counting tiny little diamonds, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense," he added.
Even the $100,000 price tag drew laughter from O Malley who speculated that Trump’s goal was simply to make a hefty profit.
“I assume this watch was not very expensive to put together — he's probably making a lot of profit,” he said. "I think that’s quite funny as well," O Malley concluded.
Ultimately, O'Malley proposed that it was the name on the dial that likely attracted buyers, not the design itself.
"But of course they don’t say Trump on the dial, do they?" he said, adding "If you're a Trump fan, everything you're seeing is beautiful."
