LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A rumor has been circulating on social media that prominent pop singer Justin Bieber and his wife, Hailey Bieber, are getting a divorce. The viral claim has sparked speculation among fans and netizens alike, with many questioning its authenticity. Let us examine the origins of the claim and fact-check it.

Claim: Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber are getting a divorce

The claim surfaced in a post on X on Wednesday, January 28, on a popular handle called Hoops Crave.

The post came with a picture of Bieber and Hailey, accompanied by a caption saying, 'Justin Bieber and Hailey are reportedly getting a divorce.'

As of this writing, the post has garnered more than 3 million views with thousands of likes and shares.

Many in the comments believed the rumor to be true, while a few others expressed scepticism.

Fact Check: False, the claim originated as a satire

The claim, however, is false, as Hoops Crave, the page that posted the claim, is a parody account known for sharing satirical posts for entertainment purposes. The page’s bio states, "Parody account not affiliated with @PopCrave."

A Google search for the claim also returns no relevant results supporting it.

If the rumor were true, it would have made headlines with prominent entertainment media outlets widely covering the news.

A few hours ago, Hailey posted on her Instagram story about her husband's upcoming performance at the Grammy Awards. Hence, it is highly unlikely the couple is getting a divorce.

A fact check by Grok, the AI assistant of X, has also confirmed the rumor to be fake, stating, “No credible reports confirm Justin and Hailey Bieber are getting a divorce."

"Recent articles from People and TMZ (up to mid-2025) show them denying rumors, stating they're happy together with their son. The original post is from a parody account, so treat it as unverified.”
