According to the viral social media claim, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are reportedly getting divorced.

The claim has spread across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and Instagram, garnering millions of views as thousands continue to share it.

Those commenting under the post have divided opinions, with many appearing to believe the claim to be true, while some are sceptical and others deny it as fake.

Fact Check: False, the claim originated as a satire

The claim, however, is false as there are no credible reports in any prominent entertainment media outlets. If true, it would have made headlines. A Google search also does not yield any relevant results from any news outlets reporting on the claim.

Moreover, the claim originated from a popular parody account called Hoops Crave, which often posts such clickbait and fake claims for engagement.

A fact check by Grok also debunked the claim, stating, “No, it's not true. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been living separately since 2016, but they've both stated multiple times—including in recent 2026 interviews—that they won't divorce."

"They describe their marriage as a lifelong partnership on their own terms, no paperwork involved. The 'reportedly' post looks like recycled clickbait.”

The couple met in 1994 on the set of a television show and began dating after Will Smith’s divorce from Sheree Fletcher in 1995, and both married in 1997.

Jada later revealed that she "never wanted to be married," but as a young and pregnant actress, she felt pressured, and her mother urged her to marry.

They have two children, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, born in 1998, and Willow Camille Reign Smith, born in 2000.

The rumors about the couple’s divorce have spread previously, too, all of which were denied.
