WASHINGTON, DC: With the midterm elections less than a month away, an allegation is circulating on social media platforms claiming that 163 Democrats voted for former President Joe Biden in 2020 from the same address. The claim sparked concern and criticism against Democrats, with users calling for a fact-check.

According to the viral claim that surfaced as a meme, 163 Democratic Party votes for Biden's 2020 election victory all came from the same Oklahoma address. The meme was accompanied by an image of a home.

The meme read, "Why do we need voter ID? Because in the 2020 election, 163 Democrats used this one address to cast a vote for Joe Biden." The reader asked, "Any truth to this?"

The claim has spread on X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and LinkedIn since February this year, garnering millions of views as of this writing.

Netizens sharing the meme warned about possible election rigging ahead of the midterms, suggesting that many believe the claim is true, whereas a few others expressed skepticism and called for verification of the rumor.

Fact Check: False; no credible evidence to support the claim

The claim, however, is rated unconfirmed because no conclusive evidence proves or disproves it.

A search on Google and other search engines like Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Yahoo found no credible news media outlets or political blogs reporting on 163 votes being cast for the former president using the address of the home pictured in the meme.

If the claim were true, it would not go unreported by prominent news media outlets, especially the conservative news outlets and blogs.

A reverse image search for the home pictured in the meme found real estate listings showing a similar photo of the same house, and it has been confirmed that the home appears in Google Maps Street View, but no reports of any such election-related crimes are linked to the home address.

The allegation resurfaced as President Donald Trump has once again revived his election rigging claim, asking why the states in the US take weeks to release election results when countries can do so within hours.

“125 Million People voted today in the first round of Brazil’s Presidential Election. The results came out shortly after the vote closed, on the SAME DAY!"

"In Detroit, Philadelphia, California, and numerous other US Cities and States, the results, with much smaller numbers, will often take weeks to Rig- I mean, calculate,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post earlier this month.
