WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump in March is reported to have said that Jews who vote for Democrats 'hate Israel' and hate 'their religion'. A comment which led to a host of criticism from the White House and Jewish leaders.

Now two months later, a video of Trump reportedly making a bizarre declaration about 'anti-semitism' is doing the rounds. Similar to his campaign slogan 'Make America Great Again', this video alleges that Trump is encouraging his followers to spread 'anti-semitism'. Is there any truth to this? Let's find out below

Claim: Video circulating showing Trump saying 'Make antisemitism great again'

An X user with the username @TheOfficial1984 posted a video on June 6 with the caption '"If we want to make America great, we've got to make antisemitism great again!" Now that's a message I can get behind! God bless Donald J. Trump!'

The interview footage in the video seemed to be from a segment of Fox News where the ticker read 'Trump says make antisemitism great again.'

False: Trump did not say 'Make antisemitism great again'

However, after repeatedly watching the video it can be clearly seen that Trump did not say 'Make antisemitism great again' and it is just a fake video where the original audio has been replaced with the fake one.

Trump said in the morphed video, "Quite frankly, the amount of Holocaust deniers today is astounding. I mean, wooden door aside, I just found out it would have taken 45 years to cremate all those bodies if it really was 6 million. You know what else? October 7 is fake news. I mean, to believe that a bunch of dudes on flying lawnmowers and pickup trucks somehow went unnoticed for seven hours by one of the leading intelligence communities in the world is just absurd. It's so obvious that Israel killed the majority of those people."

He added, "But the Jews are masters of propaganda and if you think they aren't capable of lying about October 7 just look at how much money they made off the Holocaust. Mark my words, antisemites are gonna be the ones that save this country. Call me crazy, but it's the truth. Bottom line is, if we wanna make America great, we've got to make antisemitism great again."

Proof: AI-generated clip with improper lip sync with the audio

The video is an AI-generated product because when watched carefully, it is seen that the audio that is played does not sync with the video and the lip sync of Trump. Moreover, in some places, it can be seen that the video seems to repeat a certain section of the clip.

Moreover, the ticker visible in the video is clearly a fake one as it does not match the video quality. The remarks were also fabricated and had no basis in reality as no renowned media outlets have reported on such controversial statements allegedly made by the former president.

Trump has earlier been part of a Deepfake video

This was certainly not the first time when a Deepfake video of Donald Trump has become viral. On May 10, 2024, a YouTube channel named 'Miss You CZ' posted a 46 second clip of Trump where he explains why he will hire Elon and CZ in his administration.

In the video, he said, "I thought a lot during the past years and I have now a very holistic view, truly. US is 4% of the world's population. What kind of loser goes for only 4% when you are suppose to go for the entire cake. I mean the entire planet. We have a great builder here in the US. His name is Elon. He doesn't like me much but that's okay. Because I am merciful and I like people more than they dislike me. Much much more."

He added, "You don't need to know that but that's a fact. So Elon wants to make out species multi-planetary and CZ, him again wants now to provide universal free education to all the kids on earth so that they can better deploy their potential. I love that. I am gonna hire those guys in my administration."

Just like the earlier video, this too seems to be AI-generated as nothing in the video seems original.
