Fact Check: Did Kamala Harris slam Trump for lifting Russian sanctions calling him a 'fool'?
WASHINGTON, DC: Amid the controversy and concern over growing ties between the United States and Russia, a rumor is circulating on social media platforms claiming to show an exchange between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Kamala Harris, in which she called Trump a "fool". The claim has sparked speculation and called for a fact-check.
Claim: Kamala Harris called Donald Trump a 'fool'

The rumor appeared on X, claiming to show an exchange between Trump and Harris, with the president stating, “We won big, really big. Every American is happy about it."
The former Vice President then replied, “Wake up, fool. Russia won your war. You sparked an oil crisis, then dumbly lifted Russian sanctions. They’re getting rich off oil because of you. You destroyed life for regular people in America."
The post has garnered hundreds of thousands of views as of this writing, with netizens appearing to believe it is an authentic conversation between the two, while others remain skeptical and have called for a fact-check.
Fact Check: The claim originated as satire

However, the claim is false, as there are no reports of the former Vice President calling Trump a fool for lifting sanctions on Russia, nor is there any evidence of Trump making the statement.
The claim originated from a parody account on X called ‘InfoGram,’ which describes itself as ‘satire.’
However, Harris did slam Trump over the Russia diesel deal, stating in an X post, “Donald Trump and his war in Iran are to blame for our nation’s sky-high diesel and gas prices. His latest ploy—buying fuel from his friend Vladimir Putin—reeks of weakness and will help pay for Russia’s war but will do nothing to make life more affordable for American families.”
“The American people deserve a leader who cares about them, and the Ukrainian people deserve allies who will stand by their side in the fight for a free, democratic, and independent nation,” she added.
Donald Trump announced diesel deal with Russia

The claim surfaced after Trump said that Moscow would “immediately” give 300,000 tons of diesel to the US.
“I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
