The claims quickly spread online, sparking a frenzy among fans who believed the Matrix star had finally “walked down the aisle.” But is there any truth to it? Let’s find out.

Claim: Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant secretly wed

The viral rumor alleges that Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant, who have been together since at least 2018, held a private wedding ceremony away from media attention.

Posts citing “insider sources” and “exclusive photos” claim the two exchanged vows and are now husband and wife.

Many of these posts are framed as “breaking news,” using blurred or outdated images of the couple from past public events to give the impression of a recent wedding celebration.

Fact Check: False, publicist denies secret wedding rumor

Reeves’ publicist has officially denied the speculation, confirming that the couple is not married.

In a statement to E! News on September 22, the publicist directly refuted the rumor, saying: “It is not true. They are not married.” No credible news outlet or reputable source has provided any evidence of a wedding or marriage certificate.

Grant herself has also given no indication of such an event on her social media. In fact, earlier this month, she posted a birthday tribute to Reeves featuring a heart-shaped cake and a playful caption—showing that while their relationship is loving, they are not married.

Reeves and Grant have kept their relationship relatively private since making it public on the red carpet at the 2019 LACMA Art + Film Gala.
