Fact Check: Did photos show Ben Affleck with a pregnant teenager outside his LA home?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck has found himself at the center of a viral rumor after an X post claimed that photos showed him with a “pregnant teen” outside his Los Angeles home.

The claim has drawn corrections from users who pointed out the photos’ original context. But do the images really show Affleck with a pregnant teenager? Let’s fact-check the claim.

Claim: Ben Affleck spotted with a pregnant teen outside his home

The rumor originated from an X post by @MavenUg, which claimed that recent photos showed Ben Affleck with a “pregnant teen” outside his Los Angeles home.

The post's caption read, “Jennifer Lopez Ex-husband Ben Affleck spotted with a pregnant teen outside his house in LA.” The claim gained attention by linking Affleck to his high-profile relationship with singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, often known as “Bennifer.”

Affleck and Lopez first dated and got engaged in the early 2000s before ending their relationship in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021, married in July 2022, separated in 2024, and finalized their divorce in January 2025.

The rumor also circulated when Affleck discussed Lopez's career and work ethic in a podcast interview published on Wednesday, October 14.

During his appearance on 'The Moment with Jorge and Paola Ramos,' part of iHeartPodcasts' My Cultural Network, Affleck spoke about what he learned from Lopez about how Latinos navigate their careers and lives in Hollywood.

He also expressed “an enormous amount of respect and admiration” for her professional achievements. Affleck said Lopez continued to face criticism that reflected an implicit or subconscious double standard.

Fact Check: The claim is false

The claim is false. The viral post uses old photographs with a misleading caption to suggest that Ben Affleck was recently spotted with a “pregnant teen” outside his Los Angeles home.

The woman in the images is actress Ana de Armas, who was 31 in March 2020. She turned 32 the following month, so she was not a teenager.

The photos date back to March 2020, when Affleck and de Armas were dating after meeting while filming 'Deep Water'. The images show the couple outside a Los Angeles residence with a dog. They are paparazzi photographs from that period, not recent pictures.

Community Notes on the original X post and several replies identified the woman as de Armas and pointed out the photos’ original context.

No credible reports confirm that de Armas was pregnant at the time or that Affleck was recently seen with a pregnant teenager. The viral post recycles old images and presents them as a new sighting.

The only accurate part of the caption is that Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are divorced. The claim about a pregnant teenager and a recent sighting outside Affleck’s Los Angeles home is false.
