The claim originated from an X (formerly Twitter) account called Hoops Crave. A October 16, 2026, post from the account read, "Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly transitioning back to being a man: 'I’m tired of pretending I have a period every month.'" Within hours of publication, the post had garnered more than 3.8 million views and 1,500 comments.
The claim also appears to draw on discussions about Jenner's gender identity and legal documents. Earlier in 2026, Jenner reportedly raised concerns after receiving a renewed passport that listed her sex as male, which she said caused problems with travel and identification.
Despite these concerns, Jenner has continued to express support for President Donald Trump. She has also publicly discussed her biological sex and opposed the participation of transgender women in women's sports.
