Florence Pugh says she doesn’t want Finn Cole romance to be a ‘secret’ while keeping it private

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Florence Pugh is happy in her relationship with Finn Cole. The actress doesn’t want to overexpose their relationship; she means she doesn’t want it to be a secret, but also doesn’t want everything to be out in the open.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, the Marvel actress shared that they are happy in their low-key relationship. She said she feels “solid and safe and sturdy” in their relationship.

During the interview, the 'Oppenheimer' actress discussed her relationship with Cole. While she doesn’t want their romance to be a secret, she also wants to keep certain aspects of their relationship private.

“But I also don’t want everything to be divulged. The important thing is that we’re happy, and I feel solid and safe and sturdy. And that’s worth its weight in gold in our lives,” she said.

Pugh had teased the publication that she “might not tell you everything.” “I actually asked him, ‘I wonder if you’re going to come up?’” the 'Little Women' star noted. “He said, ‘Well, shall I pop by?’”

Her comments about her love life and partner came roughly six months after she hard-launched their relationship with an Instagram post in March.

Although Pugh has been selective about sharing details of her relationship, she previously opened up about her views on love. “I believe that if magic is real, then it’s falling in love,” she said.

Pugh told British Vogue in October 2024, “And I am someone that loves falling in love. I love looking after people. I love caring for people. I love the feeling of someone being there. I love knowing that someone is thinking about me and someone cares for me in the same way that I’m thinking about caring for them.”

Now, it seems Pugh is ready to speak a little more openly about her relationship, while still keeping some parts of her love life private.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in July 2024 when they were spotted together at the Glastonbury Festival. Months later, they were seen together again in October. Around the same time, Pugh confirmed that she was dating someone but did not reveal her partner’s name.

“We are figuring out what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster,” Pugh told British Vogue. “I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”

For those unaware, Pugh’s boyfriend is best known for his role in 'Peaky Blinders'. In March this year, she seemingly hard-launched their relationship by sharing a post with him on Instagram, captioned, “Bvlgari with my boys.”

Pugh previously dated Zach Braff for three years before they broke up in 2022.
