NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News anchor Julie Banderas was joined by Trump campaign senior economic adviser Steve Moore to discuss the inflation surge faced by Americans under the Biden administration on Monday, May 27.

Introducing the topic of discussion, Banderas cited a Fox News poll conducted between May 10 and May 13, which showed that about 55% of Americans were planning to put their summer vacation on hold this year. When asked about the reason behind their decision, 73% blamed it on not having enough money.

Steve Moore's take on the state of economy under the Biden administration

When asked about his take on the Fox News poll, Moore expressed, "People are financially stressed out. We see that in so many areas, and now we are seeing that with summer travel plans. People simply can't afford it."

He added, "Look at what has happened to airline tickets, look at what has happened to gas prices, look at what has happened to eating out - whether it is at a restaurant or a fast food (joint)."

Pointing out that dollar meals at fast food joints have ceased to exist, Moore said, "People have started to feel the impact of these higher prices, no doubt about it. And it's what I call an Affordability crisis. And unfortunately, a lot of people have to cancel their summer vacation plans just because they cannot afford it."

Julie Banderas explains how taxes, inflation and overspending are hurting Americans

Picking up after Moore's remarks, the Banderas stated, "On average, people are making thousands of dollars less, a couple of thousand dollars at least for average Americans in their salaries. But their gas prices are still going up, the food prices are still going up."

Showing how fast food prices have increased over the last five years, the Fox News host noted that "these prices are astronomical and I don't understand why the Biden camp doesn't see this as a seriously big problem."

"When Trump came out and had his latest rally, he talked about lowering taxes for everyone, and that's all that anyone wants to hear at this point. Because with taxes and inflation and overspending, Americans are really hurting," stressed Banderas.
