NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Donald Trump's nephew Fred Trump made a ringing endorsement for the presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election,m during his appearance on the Tuesday, July 30, episode of 'The View'.

Fred went on the show to promote his memoir titled 'All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way', where he leveled some serious allegations against his uncle, who also happened to be his trustee after his father, Fred Trump Jr, died in his forties.

Fred Trump endorses Kamala Harris for president

"I believe in policy over politics," Fred Trump said during the Hot Topics segment of the show, accompanied by hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Behar shared that Fred and his sister Mary Trump did not vote for their uncle Donald and the GOP nominee in 2016 or 2020. She asked Fred, "(Mary) has said famously that there is not one redeeming quality for this man. And both the times, you voted for the Democrat. So is it too much of an imposition to ask you who you’re going to vote for in 2024?"

"And without question, Kamala Harris’ policies are what I get behind," Fred replied. "So I will be voting for Kamala Harris. And if I’m asked, I will campaign for her without hesitation.”

Fred Trump's allegations against Donald Trump

"Every family has their crazy uncle at the Thanksgiving table- mine was atomic crazy," said Fred on the show. "And I have seen it firsthand how he evolved from crazy to atomic."

In an excerpt from his book published by TIME, he claimed that Donald said disabled Americans "should just die" due to "expenses" and "the shape they're in." This was particularly hurtful for Fred as his son William was born with a rare genetic mutation.

Fred also stated in his book that Trump used racist slurs, including the N-word, during conversations among family members, according to The Guardian.

Hostin questioned him on the show over the subject, "Back in the '70s when you were a pre-teen, you write about hearing your uncle Donald Trump use the worse racial slur, twice, while ranting to you about his car being damaged... though he continues to deny it. Do you have any doubt that you heard that slur?"

"I was there," replied Fred. "I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever. Twice he used the N-word. Now, to put it in context, in what troubles me even more than that, is that he did not know who slashed the roof of his (car). He assumed."

Donald Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung has reportedly called out the allegations leveled in the book as false, telling People in a statement, "This is completely fabricated and total fake news of the highest order. It is appalling a lie so blatantly disgusting can be printed in media. Anyone who knows President Trump knows he would never use such language, and false stories like this have been thoroughly debunked."

Internet finds Fred Trump's allegations against uncle Donald Trump believable

Netizens took to Facebook to express their views about Fred Trump's interview on 'The View'.

Some social media users found his allegations to be in line with their own perception of the former president Donald Trump. However, some shared that the controversy was being manufactured as a marketing ploy for Fred's memoir.

"I don’t doubt him, Trump looks and acts exactly like the people that use those words and language and the reason he has so many of those types of followers," wrote a social media user.

"A man's own enemy is of his own household," observed another.

"We’ve all heard Trump say things this awful and worse," noted one person.

"Hard to sell a book without creating some drama," remarked another.

"Honestly if what he is saying about Trump are lies Trump would sue him so fast! Guess what no lawsuit because its likely true!" exclaimed one individual.

'Amazing how these always come out during his campaigns," added another person.
