According to WLWT News 5, a fuel tanker flipped over on southbound Interstate-471 near the Parkway exit, spilling a large amount of fuel and igniting a major fire that rapidly spread along the highway. The 47-year-old driver (name not revealed) received medical attention at the scene and was released, and no other injuries have been reported.

Fox 19 reports that a tanker crash sparked the fire. First responders are working at the scene, and drivers were advised to avoid the area. Firefighters said flames from the tanker traveled through the highway drainage system and reached the sewer below.

Though authorities confirmed that no significant structural damage occurred, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said bridge inspections will be conducted before any lanes are reopened to ensure safety.
