He told the crowd that 'they stand alongside one of the first American flags ever to fly over our expanding nation. It was carried west just as Lewis and Clark began their journey in 1803.'

During Independence Day festivities in New York, a fire broke out near the Brooklyn Bridge following a fireworks-related incident, prompting firefighters to rush to the scene as smoke billowed over the East River.
