Indiana Hoosiers gift Trump custom jersey during White House championship celebration

The team presented Trump with a custom pink Indiana Hoosiers jersey featuring “Trump” and the number 47 on the back. He was also gifted a signed football and a commemorative championship helmet during the ceremony.

The Indiana Hoosiers visited the White House to celebrate their undefeated national championship season. Players, coaches, and staff gathered on the South Lawn for the special recognition ceremony with President Trump.

Trump applauded head coach Curt Cignetti for transforming Indiana football from a struggling program into national champions in just two seasons. He called the achievement something “never been done before” at that level.

Cignetti energized the crowd with Indiana’s famous “Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoosiers” chant during his speech. The coach credited discipline, preparation, and belief for the team’s championship-winning campaign.

Trump addressed the absence of Heisman-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza, explaining the NFL rookie could not attend due to professional commitments. The president said Mendoza personally called him before the event and praised him as “a great guy.”
