Karoline Leavitt gets glammed up for Dallas comeback as she reunites with old White House crew

Leavitt's return to the political spotlight began well before she reached the convention floor. Leavitt shared a photo posing high above the convention floor with Margo Martin as the brightly lit arena stretched out behind them. Martin has long been part of Trump's communications operation and worked alongside Leavitt during her tenure in the administration.

Leavitt's convention album also included a playful encounter with one of Trump's longest-serving political allies. She posed for a close-up selfie with Corey Lewandowski inside American Airlines Center, smiling broadly as the convention unfolded behind them. Leavitt added a “Selfie Time” graphic to the candid photograph. Lewandowski served as Trump's first campaign manager during his 2016 presidential run and has remained a prominent figure in the president's political orbit in the years since.

Leavitt's Dallas comeback also brought another reunion with a familiar face from her White House days. A behind-the-scenes photo showed the former press secretary posing alongside Keighan Nangle, who worked on the White House communications team during Leavitt's tenure. The pair smiled together away from the main convention floor, with Nangle dressed in a red top and cream trousers while Leavitt opted for a polished dark ensemble. After the glam sessions, television interviews and reunions with familiar faces, Leavitt capped off her Dallas comeback by stepping behind a lectern once again. The former White House press secretary delivered a prime-time address on the second night of the Republican Midterm Convention, marking one of her most prominent political appearances since leaving the Trump administration. Leavitt quickly drew a contrast between her new surroundings and the room she used to command in Washington. Referring to the White House press corps she faced almost daily, she joked that it was nice to look out and see “patriots” rather than “fake news.” But her speech also carried a more serious message for Republicans ahead of November. Leavitt urged Trump's supporters to turn their enthusiasm into votes, telling the crowd to “pair your prayer with action.” She argued that the stakes were particularly high because Trump has only “two more years” remaining as president and called on Republicans to protect his agenda by keeping control of Congress.
