Heartfelt photos show fans honoring Dolly Parton at landmarks tied to her legacy after global icon's death at 80

Dolly Parton's fans laid flower bouquets, candles, and handwritten notes in her memory over the music legend's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The country icon was 80 when she died on August 25 at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeremy Robinson, a country music radio host who was present at the site, said, "We’re not just missing somebody who we see on a concert stage, or we hear on the radio. We’re losing somebody really, really special. The fabric of our lives."

A Dolly Parton mural in Nashville, Tennessee, also turned into a memorial as fans laid flower bouquets in her honor. The mural was made by local Nashville artist Kim Radford on the outer wall of The 5 Spot music venue in East Nashville.

People not only left flowers and heartfelt notes, but also a pink and sparkly special wand with a star on Dolly Parton's Walk of Fame after the August 25 tragedy. Fans gathered around the landmark to honor her while praising her and her philanthropic work. "If Dolly doesn’t go to heaven, then none of us have a chance. She really, she put her money where her mouth was. She did the work," one of her fans said at the site.

Fans of Dolly Parton also flocked to her Brentwood house in Tennessee after her death following a brief battle with cancer. The main gate of her residence was decorated with flowers, placards, love notes and cards, as well as rose and butterfly balloons.

Dolly Parton's statue on the front lawn of the Sevier County Courthouse at 125 Court Avenue in Sevierville, Tennessee, also witnessed an immediate gathering of fans following her death. The admirers mourned the global icon's loss and honored her memory with flowers and heartfelt messages.

Fans left devastated after the death of Dolly Parton also paid their tributes outside her office in Nashville, Tennessee. They left flowers and signs outside the main gate of the office, with one sign referring to her song 'I Will Always Love You,' reading, 'We will always love you too, Dolly!

The outpouring of love was also seen near Dolly Parton's Country Music Hall of Fame plaque. One photo showed one of her many admirers placing a white flower bouquet in front of the plaque to pay respects to Parton.

Another touching photo captured fans gathered in front of Dolly Parton's Music City Walk of Fame, which also turned into a memorial site. The fans looked visibly emotional while sporting T-shirts and caps honoring the late legend.
