Samuel L Jackson's wife shares rare photos of Hollywood icon on 46th wedding anniversary

Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson Jackson have reached another major milestone in their decades-long love story. The couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, August 18, by sharing some rare photos on Instagram. Jackson, 77, shared a throwback from their wedding day, while his actress wife, 76, also marked the special occasion with her own tribute to their long-lasting relationship. In the first image from her carousel, the pair could be seen looking into each other's eyes during a warm embrace.

LaTanya shared a series of candid photos with her husband in her anniversary post, capturing his playful side. One of the pictures showed the 'Pulp Fiction' actor pulling a funny face while his wife fed him a forkful of cake. She captioned the post, "46 years of loving @samuelljackson.  We thank God every day for blessing us with each other. My foundation, my rock, my forever partner. Happy Anniversary, my Love! Here’s to 46 more!!"

The couple's 46-year journey has featured many memorable moments, including some remarkable red-carpet appearances. One of the photos on the carousel showed Samuel and LaTanya at the 1998 Oscars. The pair looked radiant and in high spirits in stylish all-black ensembles as they took the red carpet to support each other during one Hollywood's biggest events.

In another image, LaTanya offered fans a rare glimpse into her and Samuel's life away from the spotlight. The candid vacation photo showed the couple posing together against a scenic ocean backdrop, wearing casual and comfortable outfits, ideal for summer getaways. While LaTanya wore a crisp red top with ripped jeans and a black bucket hat, Samuel opted for denim trunks with a gray T-shirt and matching bucket hat. Samuel and LaTanya Jackson married in 1980 and welcomed their only child, daughter Zoe, in 1982.

One heartfelt photo from the carousel showed a close-up of LaTanya embracing a seemingly emotional Samuel Jackson. In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, LaTanya opened up about the couple’s decision to stand by each other through thick and thin in their marriage. She revealed that she and the 'Jackie Brown' star “made a pact to stay together” no matter what. She continued, “In order to change that narrative, we made a decision to say, ‘We are going to stay together no matter what. We’ll figure it out.’”
