Trump hosts lavish Mar-a-Lago fundraiser ahead of midterms as photos offer rare glimpse inside glittering ballroom

President Donald Trump addressed guests at the RNC fundraising event on October 16, standing beneath an elaborate display of crystal chandeliers at Mar-a-Lago. American flags formed the backdrop as the president spoke from a podium in the ornate ballroom. The gathering came less than three weeks before the November 3 midterm elections, which will determine control of Congress.

A wide-angle photograph captured the grandeur of the venue, with massive crystal chandeliers dominating the ceiling and intricate gold detailing lining the walls. Guests were seated around dining tables facing the president's podium at the far end of the room. The photograph also revealed the ballroom's towering arches, decorative columns and elaborate ceiling moldings.

Another striking photograph framed Trump beneath a towering chandelier, its sparkling crystals filling much of the foreground. The president appeared at the podium against a backdrop of American flags, offering an unusual perspective of the fundraising event. The image placed Mar-a-Lago's opulent interiors at the center of the scene.

Another photograph showed Trump standing among attendees inside the White and Gold Room as a guest appeared to address the gathering. According to the White House press pool, Trump entered shortly before 10 pm to applause, following an introduction by RNC Chairman Joe Gruters. A reporter estimated that approximately 100 people attended the event.

The star-studded gathering also brought prominent Silicon Valley figures into Trump's orbit. OpenAI President Greg Brockman attended a MAGA Inc. dinner at Mar-a-Lago on October 17 alongside his wife, Anna Brockman, and Google co-founder Sergey Brin. All three were captured alongside Trump. The appearance came as technology executives and investors played an increasingly visible role in political fundraising ahead of the midterms. According to Forbes, Greg and Anna Brockman had each contributed $12.5 million to the Trump-aligned MAGA Inc. super PAC during the election cycle.
