Guy Lambert: Nevada man who shot dead girlfriend and their unborn child over fight gets life in prison
RENO, NEVADA: A 37-year-old man from Nevada pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison in connection to the 2020 shooting death of his girlfriend, who was 4 months pregnant.
The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office announced on February 15 that Guy Lambert was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder of Tiffany Self, 28. According to 2 News Nevada, Lambert was also given a consecutive 20-year sentence for a deadly weapon enhancement.
What did Guy Lambert do?
In 2020, Reno Police responded to an apartment building on Park Street about a possible shooting. Officers found Tiffany Self, who was four months pregnant with Lambert’s baby at the time, with a gunshot wound to her face.
Despite the attempts of the responders to save her life, Self died from her injuries. The district attorney's office stated that investigators discovered Self and Lambert had argued. During the argument, the victim (Self) chose to hide from the defendant by staying with a friend out of fear. Self asked her friend to keep her stay a secret from her partner.
Lambert discovered that his girlfriend was hiding from him. According to the district attorney's office, he obtained a weapon, "forced his way into the apartment," and shot Self to death before leaving the scene.

Earlier in 2020, a secret witness provided a tip, and officers found Lambert four days after the brutal crime and took him into custody. The Reno Police Department arrested Guy Lambert in connection deadly shooting that happened near Park Street in November 2020.
According to the district attorney’s office, Self’s mother and sister were in grief while opening up about Self's death at the sentencing and hearing of Lambert. They said Lambert and Self were in a relationship before the homicide. GoFundMe for the victim's funeral expenses was also created in 2020.
