Gypsy Rose Blanchard sues blogger for alleged fraud and release of confidential medical records

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gypsy Rose Blanchard has sued a blogger after their initial planned partnership failed.

According to Blanchard, she first met April Johns back in 2017 and, at that time, she introduced herself as Franchesca Macelli. The TV personality has accused the blogger of fraud, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, defamation, and false light against her, as per the lawsuit.

What did Gypsy Rose Blanchard state in her lawsuit?

Gypsy alleged that she and her father Rod, along with stepmother Kristy Blanchard, were approached by Macelli for a potential team-up in the media, just after she was incarcerated for her role in her mother Dee Dee's murder.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the blogger assured that she would be producing a project around Gypsy’s version of the story and they could all make a lot of money.

Later, they signed a life rights agreement with this woman and started sharing every detail for two years.

According to the lawsuit, Gypsy claimed she further provided materials to Macelli, which consisted of medical records and crime scene photos from Dee Dee's murder, hoping the blogger would be able to find investors for this project.

However, the project never saw the light of day. 

Blanchard's family then decided to cut off all ties with the blogger and that’s when things turned ugly. 

Macelli started slamming Gypsy, her father, and her stepmother online and went on to make fake stories about her family to defame them.

The blogger also posted confidential information such as medical records online, especially on platforms like Patreon. She even called Gypsy a liar and accused her of misleading the public. 

Blanchard is calling for an emergency restraining order against Macelli and the court will be hearing the case this week, as per the outlet. 

Blanchard was convicted for her involvement in the killing of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard along with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn.
