Gypsy Rose Blanchard slams rumors of CPS visit as she assures fans her daughter is 'safe and healthy'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the Munchausen by proxy survivor, has taken to social media to set the record straight after rumors about her newborn daughter, Aurora Raina, circulated online.
In a series of posts on Instagram Stories on Friday, January 24, the 33-year-old mother slammed the "false rumors" and reassured fans that her daughter is "safe and healthy."
Gypsy Rose Blanchard shuts down CPS rumor
At the top of the list of rumors Gypsy Rose addressed was a claim that Child Protective Services (CPS) had visited her home in Louisiana. The rumor spread across social media, and it was alleged that CPS had been called due to concerns about Aurora’s well-being.
Gypsy Rose wasted no time in shutting down the speculation. “NO, CPS is not involved!” she wrote in a clear and direct message, adding an eye-roll emoji for emphasis. “Our baby is very safe and healthy.”
The new mom later confirmed to PEOPLE that the rumor was completely false, stating, “I’m addressing all the rumors that content creators spread. It’s not necessarily to anyone in particular, it’s just some of the crazy rumors that have come out over the last few weeks that I wanted to address are not true.”
Gypsy Rose and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, welcomed their daughter on December 28, 2024. Since the birth, Gypsy Rose has shared only minimal updates on her social media, choosing to keep her baby’s life private for now.
She had previously mentioned her desire to live a more private life following her December 2023 prison release after serving eight years for her role in the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, who subjected her to years of unnecessary medical treatments.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard slams misinformation and clickbait
In addition to addressing the CPS rumor, Gypsy Rose Blanchard also shut down another claim that had been making the rounds. Some had speculated that she and Urker had used a "doll or fake baby" in the pictures shared after Aurora’s birth.
Gypsy Rose firmly denied this accusation, writing, "NO, the baby in the picture with Ken and I after birth is NOT a doll or fake baby!"

Gypsy Rose's frustration with the spreading rumors was clear, and she used her platform to send a pointed message to those who continue to spread misinformation.
“IF ANYONE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THIS BS THEN YOUR BRAIN HAS BEEN ROTTED BY MISINFORMATION AND CLICK BAIT WITH BIAS And HATE DRIVEN CONTENT,” she wrote. "God gave you [brain] USE IT.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard faces mixed reactions after denying CPS rumor
Following Gypsy Rose Blanchard's denial of the false CPS rumor, which she shared on Instagram, the statement quickly went viral on Facebook. However, some users remained unconvinced, with several commenting that "CPS should visit her," expressing skepticism about her claims.
A user said, "Of course they are going to make regular visits. She was part of killing her mother."
Another added, "CPS should visit her. She's not mentally well."
A third commentator remarked, "Dfcs is going to be on her due to her background."
"She lived her entire life lying of course she said that," said a critic.
A person wrote, "That CRAZY Mom killer should be in jail like any other killer regardless of why she had a bf kill the woman...I don't care how much therapy she gets , get it behind bars. Good luck to this baby..."
On the other hand, some defended her. "I wish people would just leave her alone. She did her time, she’s living her life with her baby. Let her be," a user said.
One commented, "The world’s eyes will be on her, the baby’s safety will be priority. I can’t imagine the pressure she’d be under."
