NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gypsy Rose Blanchard is putting the weight-loss drug rumors to rest.

The 33-year-old, known for her survival story in the face of Munchausen by proxy abuse, recently addressed speculation about her postpartum weight loss after giving birth to her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, on December 28.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard denies weight-loss drug rumors

In an Instagram Story shared on January 23, Gypsy Rose Blanchard tackled the buzz surrounding her slim figure.

“NO, I am not on any weight loss medication (I just look damn good for postpartum, hate me cause you ain’t me)🤷‍♀️,” she wrote, adding a playful yet confident tone to her rebuttal.

'The Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up' star echoed these sentiments in an exclusive statement to People, making it clear that rumors about her using weight loss medication like GLP-1 drugs — a category that includes the Hollywood-favored Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro — are entirely unfounded.

“I’m addressing all the rumors that content creators spread,” she said.

She continued, “It’s not necessarily to anyone in particular; it’s just some of the crazy rumors that have come out over the last few weeks that I wanted to address are not true. I never have used weight loss drugs to lose weight. I was blessed with a healthy pregnancy and gained very little during my pregnancy.”

Instead of medication, Blanchard is relying on a more holistic approach to fitness as she transitions into motherhood.

“I am now focusing on getting fit by doing yoga and other exercises to help tone my belly," she explained before adding, "I bought small gym equipment for my home to start getting healthy.”

Blanchard now joins a growing list of celebrities, including 50 Cent, Ice Spice, Julia Fox, and Jessica Simpson, who have denied using weight loss drugs to shed pounds.

Meanwhile, others, such as Kathy Bates, Sharon Osbourne, and Elon Musk, have been open about their use of such medications.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard vows to redefine motherhood

For Gypsy Rose Blanchard, motherhood represents a fresh start and an opportunity to redefine the maternal bond she longed for during her turbulent upbringing.

Blanchard and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, welcomed their daughter on the first anniversary of her release from prison, a poignant milestone following her role in the 2015 murder of her abusive mother, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard.

“All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,” she said in a heartfelt interview with People.

“My mother told me I was never going to get married, raise a family, have kids or do any of that. So, to be here, standing on my own two feet and expecting my first baby, that’s something I’ve reached as an achievement and a personal goal,” Blanchard stated.

She continued, "I thank God every day that I am now having this second chance at life with a kid of my own. The way my mother parented me is definitely not the way I'm going to be. We always say for the next generation, we want to be better than we were raised. And so, for me, I think that couldn't be any more truthful.”
