Ice Spice claps back at body-shamers after drastic weight loss journey with a playful SpongeBob meme
BRONX, NEW YORK: Ice Spice has never been one to shy away from clapping back at critics, but this time, the Bronx-born rapper let beloved Nickelodeon character SpongeBob SquarePants do the talking.
On Friday, December 6, the 'Munch' rapper posted a hilarious meme on her Instagram Story in response to online trolls scrutinizing her smaller frame.
Ice Spice uses SpongeBob meme to shut down body-shamers
The meme shared by Ice Spice featured a bloated and tired version of SpongeBob, with a caption reading, "Nah she mid bro," TMZ reported,
It was a playful yet pointed jab at trolls who have made comments about her figure after she shared new pictures on Instagram.
With her sharp wit and effortlessly cool tone, Ice shut down the noise without directly addressing the trolls individually.
This isn’t the first time Ice Spice has faced body-related rumors. Back in August, she responded to speculations regarding her using Ozempic, a diabetic drug often associated with weight loss.
She shut down rumors that she’s using Ozempic in style by posting a gym montage to prove her point.

In an August post, the rapper captioned her workout video, “We beatin them allegations bae 😂❤️💯.”
Dressed in short black shorts and a cropped black hoodie, Ice Spice showed off her fitness routine, including barbells, planks, stretches, splits, and treadmill runs, all while flashing the peace sign.
The video was set to her own track, “BB Belt,” featuring the bold lyric, “I’m a baddie like, f— how you feel.”
Ice Spice further addresses rumors about her Ozempic use
On a similar note, later that month, she joined an X Spaces chat, where she didn’t hold back on addressing the haters.
She claimed she’s entirely unaware of the buzz surrounding the Type II diabetes drug that has become a favorite among celebrities, Daily Mail reported.
“B***h, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic,” she said during the conversation.
“That’s one thing I wish. Oh my god, like, what even is Ozempic? What the f**k is that? Like, genuinely, what is that, bro? Like, you lazy a** bitches never heard of a gym? It’s called a gym. It’s called eating healthy. It’s called being on tour.”

Ice Spice’s grueling summer schedule offered little room for anything but hard work.
During the North American leg of the 'Y2K! World Tour', she performed her viral hit 'Bikini Bottom', a nod to SpongeBob SquarePants, which she has affectionately referred to as her “favorite show.”
Both Ice and her producer, RIOTUSA, have credited the beloved cartoon as the inspiration for the playful track.
