WASHINGTON, DC: James Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said on Wednesday, April 3, that Republicans "have proven the crimes" against the Biden family and that the impeachment investigation is currently in the "accountability" stage, as per the New York Post.

The Kentucky Rep outlined a number of shady transactions and reiterated his demand for the POTUS to testify, without going into detail about which laws he thinks the first family broke.

James Comer says the House Oversight Committee has proof that the Bidens were 'influence-peddling'

Comer informed Fox Business Network’s 'Morning with Maria', "We’ve had three Biden associates that said [President Biden] was the closer of … selling the Biden brand. We’ve proven the crimes. Now it’s time to hold people accountable for the crimes and Joe Biden needs to answer some questions in front of the Oversight Committee."

Devon Archer, Tony Bobulinski, and Jason Galanis—all three of whom testified at the second public hearing of the Biden impeachment investigation in March—seem to be the three acquaintances Comer mentioned.

An Oversight Committee representative responded to a question from the New York Post on Wednesday, saying that the investigation into the POTUS' impeachment "uncovered a record of evidence revealing Joe Biden was 'the brand' his family sold to enrich the Bidens."

U.S. President Joe Biden participates in a virtual meeting of the Major Economies Forum (MEF) on Energy and Climate in the South Court Auditorium on the White House campus April 20, 2023 in Washington, DC. Countries that make up the MEF are responsible for roughly 80 percent of both global gross domestic product (GDP) and greenhouse gas emissions.

The spokesperson added, "Joe Biden knew of, participated in, and benefited from these corrupt schemes and the House Oversight Committee intends to issue a comprehensive report that will address criminal violations at the end of our investigation."

On the other hand, Comer also claimed, "We’ve proven the Bidens were influence-peddling and we’ve proven they’ve taken in tens of millions of dollars."

The Kentucky Rep's portrayals of the first family's business dealings have been consistently refuted by President Joe Biden and his associates.

In March, Comer requested President Biden to appear before his panel, possibly on April 16. The White House has yet to accept the offer, which is rather rare. Gerald Ford was the last president to testify before Congress, back in 1974.

Internet reacts to James Comer's claims regarding the Bidens

One wrote, "James Comer is a disgraced liar. The inquiry is over," while another remarked, "All they have to do is let you hold press conferences. you are a self-discrediting machine."

A person noted, "No, the Comer brigade just can't find any evidence of Biden wrongdoing, as hard as they've tried from the beginning of this Congress. They have failed, after being given all the power of the House majority. Failures!"

Someone else declared, "You have no investigation. It is a clown show and a mess," and one more said, "They are making it all up and your helping them."
