NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tim O'Brien, the former biographer of Donald Trump and author of 'TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald', suggested that at the upcoming presidential debate, Trump will highlight that he is not more proficient than President Joe Biden in terms of mental capability.

O'Brien, who spent extensive time with Trump, made these remarks during an appearance on MSNBC, where he discussed Trump's preparations for the debate.

Tim O'Brien questions Donald Trump's legal confidence and debate preparation

Recently, O'Brien had cast doubt on Trump's claim of not worrying about potential legal consequences after being convicted on multiple counts earlier in the month.

During the MSNBC interview, O'Brien also commented on reports that Trump is preparing for the debate with the assistance of several individuals, including "Marco Rubio floating around him."

"There is a danger in that, not simply because people should always prepare for debates," the biographer wrote. "Remember Barack Obama in 2012 didn't prepare for his first debate for Mitt Romney and didn't engage fully and it showed. It is usually more perilous for incumbent presidents than challengers."

"But this debate is different," emphasized O'Brien.

"Having said that, the format for the debate Thursday night does not play to Trump's hooliganism, which is what he has tried to do in previous debates, where he has made a show of himself. There is an audience and he can grab the mic and say something... In this debate, the mic will be off when one of the other candidates is speaking," he added. "There is no live audience and they can't have notes. I anticipate him fumbling badly on policy issues."

He went on to emphasize that in this debate, "vitality, not policy," will be a crucial factor.

"I think voters do have concerns about Biden's age. Trump's been getting away with this idea he is somehow more vital, more mentally acute than Joe Biden, which I don't think he is," he said, adding that Trump is just three years younger than Biden. "That's it. Three years younger and he's been babbling on the campaign trail lately."

Viewers responded humorously to Tim O'Brien's forecast

Tim O'Brien's assertion that Trump will underscore his mental agility compared to President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential debate was met with amusement by viewers, who speculated humorously about the debate's likely scenarios.

One viewer expressed, "He'll choke like a dog."

Another viewer shared, "Eh. My guess is he will be as convincing as he can be. A lot at stake. Including prison time."

One viewer pointed out, "I think Trump will be fine at the debate. I hear Adderall is a hell of a drug."

A follower observed, "No notes. Trump is gonna repeat the same nonsense over and over."

One comment stated, "The minute Biden starts talking intelligently the Felon Trump will have a fit and start babbling like the moron he is. Trump will lose his mind and go off into the land of OZ."

Another comment read, "Every time Trump appears in public now, he sounds more and more unhinged and rambling than the time before ... and the laughter and applause grows fainter. 😎👍."

"I can't wait 'til he's actually 'disassociated' from his body," explained an individual.
