AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan, who has been vocal about his reluctance to feature Donald Trump on his show, has now revealed why he invited the former president on his podcast 'The Joe Rogan Experience'.

In past statements, Rogan openly declared his lack of support for Trump, explaining, “I'm not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I've had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once – I've said no every time. I don't want to help him. I'm not interested in helping him.”

Assassination attempt against Donald Trump sparks a change of heart

Joe Rogan, who has expressed concerns over Donald Trump’s influence on democracy and calling him an "existential threat to democracy" initially resisted the idea of a sit-down with the Republican presidential candidate.

The turning point came in July when Trump survived an assassination attempt during a rally in Pennsylvania, where he was shot in the ear by gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Reflecting on this event, Rogan explained, “Once they shot you I was like, ‘he’s gotta come in here.’ It’s all about timing, it’s all about the timing. I think the timing is perfect.”

During the podcast, Trump and Rogan touched upon the aftermath of the July 13 attack, with Rogan inquiring if Trump bore any visible scars.

In response, the 78-year-old politician showed a healed mark behind his right ear, joking, “It zicked right there,” while Rogan replied, “It healed up pretty f*****g good.”

Will Kamala Harris be a potential guest on Joe Rogan's show?

The conversation between Joe Rogan and soon shifted toward Vice President Kamala Harris, the current vice-president and Democratic presidential nominee.

Trump joked about Harris’ potential reaction to Rogan’s open-ended interview style, saying, “Can you imagine Kamala doing this show? She’d be lying on the floor.”

Rogan expressed interest in hosting Harris, stating, “She was supposed to be doing it and she might still, and I hope she does. I would talk to her like a human being and try to have a conversation with her."

"That was my goal having her on, trying to get her to express herself," he added.

Responding to Rogan wanting Harris on his show, Trump referenced to retired MMA champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, whom Rogan, the UFC color commentator is familiar with, and said, "I have watched you for so many years. You're not a Kamala person. You're a Khabib person – but you're not a Kamala person."

"If she did this kind of interview with you, I hope she does because it would be a mess," Trump added, according to Mirror.
