LACONIA, NEW HAMPSHIRE: The campaign team of President Joe Biden recently posted a clip critical of former President Donald Trump's performance at a rally, where he reportedly displayed signs of slurring his words and struggling with the teleprompter.

According to RadarOnline.com, Trump addressed his supporters in Laconia, New Hampshire, on Monday, January 22, one day ahead of the Republican party’s primary voting in the Granite State.

While on stage, the 77-year-old GOP presidential frontrunner mistakenly referred to himself in the third person, due to his misreading of the teleprompter.

What did Trump say during his speech on Monday?

Donald Trump addressed the gathering of his ever-ardent supporters at a campaign stop in Laconia, saying, “How foolish, are we? How stupid are our leaders? We can be energy-independent and even energy-dominant. Yes. Oh, yes. And quickly, says President Trump. We will be there very quickly.”

The Biden campaign team leaped at the opportunity to poke fun at the former President, posting a video of the incident with the caption, "A confused Trump refers to himself in the third person while reading his teleprompter."

Trump has previously attacked his political opponent, President Joe Biden, for using a teleprompter.

In 2021, Trump said about the incumbent president, “When I see a man say a few words, not necessarily well, and turn around walk away. But I see him walk away and he never answers a question. And they're soft questions."

He even targeted Biden for his use of a teleprompter in the past, by claiming, "When you ask a question and then you see him read the answer off the teleprompter. That means he knows what's going on. He'll call—let's see, they told me to ask so-and-so, to ask a question. It's so sad for our country.”

On Monday, during his rally in Laconia, former President Donald Trump encountered an issue with the teleprompter, which was not the sole concern for his eager followers.

Additionally, some individuals accused Trump of slurring his speech at one point.

Recently, Donald Trump addressed questions about his cognitive acuity after he repeatedly told crowds that former President Barack Obama was the current president.

Trump has clarified since that, he did not forget that President Joe Biden is currently in office, but rather meant to convey that he believes Obama still wields significant influence and power over the Democratic party, and therefore, in the current administration.

Trump clarified his take on his predecessor, “A lot of times I’ll say that President Obama is doing a lousy job, meaning that Obama is running the show. They’ll say, Donald Trump doesn’t know who our president is. No, no. A few months ago I took a cognitive test my doctor gave me, I said give me a cognitive test just we can, you know, and I aced it. I also took one when I was in the White House.”

Internet mocks Donald Trump for his increasing instances of slip-ups onstage

People on X trolled the former President for rambling on with no rhyme or reason and committing silly gaffes during his recent campaign speeches.

One X user remarked: "My gawd , it’s like a slow motion horror film."

Another user said: "Here we go again. @realDonaldTrump needs to be locked up ASAP, without any more delays, involuntarily for the rest of his life, but not after facing the consequences for his actions finally, because so far, he has gotten off easy w/ only monetary settlements, NOT prison yet!"

Another user wrote: "MAGA won’t believe with their own eyes & ears what just happened. They will say Trump was being sarcastic; it can’t be true anyway because Trump NEVER uses a teleprompter. Trump is confused. MAGA is delusional. They’re all insane."

One user quipped: "Oh my, he's reading the directives in the written material!"

Another X user remarked: "The music, his whiney voice, it's all creepy."

Finally, this user tweeted: "Far as I'm concerned, he can't get there (to prison) quick enough."
