LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shannen Doherty, who is battling Stage 4 breast cancer, confessed to crying in a closet and feeling "not as strong" as she battles cancer.
The 'Beverly Hills 90210' star opened up about her fears and vulnerability in the latest episode of her 'Let’s Be Clear' podcast.
Shannen Doherty on hiding her tears as she battles cancer
Doherty was joined by her best friend, realtor Chris Cortazzo, for a wine-fueled conversation.
She said that she doesn’t always show her emotions to others, but rather keeps them in a closet.
“Listen, I do complain. I just don’t complain in front of people,” she said. "I tend to be the person that cries in a closet by themselves.”
“We’re very similar in that sense,” Cortazzo agreed.
“We appear to be very strong and warriors and we can get through everything but we’ll have breakdowns — but we’re in a closet hiding having our breakdowns," Doherty said as People reported.
"I definitely do that. I’m not nearly as strong as people… ”
Shannen Doherty on her cancer diagnosis and her wishes
Doherty, 52, revealed that she often feels overwhelmed by her cancer diagnosis and wishes for something different.
“My point is I one hundred percent have those moments where I feel all of it and I wish for something different, right?"
"I wish this wasn’t what I was dealing with in life, but I always have to look at the other side and go, ‘Well, what else would you be dealing with? And would it be as impactful and meaningful as this?’”

She also admitted that she fears dying too soon and leaving behind her dreams.
“Obviously my biggest thing is I just don’t want to die too soon because I have a lot to accomplish, so that weighs heavy on my brain.”
Shannen Doherty on her friendship and her humor
Doherty also shared how her friend helped her discover that strength is in every tear that falls out of her eye.
“Everybody thinks that strength is being stoic,” she said. “What I have discovered, and with your help, is that strength is in every tear that falls out of my eye.
"That’s strength. The more I’m able to embrace my vulnerability and my fears, that’s how I get stronger,” she said.
She also shared the funeral plans wanting it to be a "love fest" rather than people crying and all.
Besides that, she wants to "take pressure off" people who don't like her but will show up at her funeral because that is the "politically correct thing to do," as "they don't want to look bad."
But, she doesn't want them to show up as she thinks they "don't really like me," as they have their reasons which she says are "good for them."
