NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin shared their takes on Nikki Haley making a surprise appearance on 'SNL' at the 'Hot Topics' table on the February 4 episode of 'The View.'

In a skit from the 'SNL' episode, Haley was introduced by the actors as a "concerned South Carolina voter." She then proceeded to question Donald Trump about his reluctance to debate her.

Later, the script was flipped, as another cast member from the audience asked Haley, "What would you say was the main cause of the Civil War, and do you think it starts with an 'S' and ends with a '-lavery?'"

"Yep, I probably should have said that the first time," replied Haley, trying to make light of the controversy she had stirred up after failing to state slavery as the main cause of the Civil War on multiple occasions last month.

Ana Navarro's issue with Nikki Haley's cameo

Even before Goldberg could ask the table for their opinions, Navarro called out, "Okay, I have issues with this."

"I didn't like it," she stated. "First of all, she has screwed up this race and slavery question every damn time she gets asked about it. So I am not ready for it to be answered with a 10-second sound bite jokey-thing. I'm just not."

"I also think Nikki Haley's not very funny," she continued. "I think the guy who played Donald Trump is very funny - James Austin Johnson."

Navarro claimed that Haley made her 'SNL' appearance as she was not earning enough media coverage on account of Donald Trump refusing to debate her.

Alyssa Farah Griffin came to Nikki Haley's defense

Griffin, the sole Republican at the table, claimed that Haley was "hitting Donald Trump harder than Biden."

"She's challenging Donald Trump to a debate, she's questioning his mental acuity, she's questioning the spending under his administration - not dealing with the border crisis. She is the person taking it to Trump the hardest," she continued, ignoring Hostin's soft jibes as she made her case.

"I would frankly love to hear Joe Biden go as hard as Nikki Haley and not just saying it behind closed doors," she added.
