'I spit my coffee out': Internet in splits as 'The Daily Show' spoofs Ron DeSantis' 'internal thoughts' at the 4th GOP debate

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA: The fiery face-off between Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Vivek Ramaswamy at the fourth Republican presidential debate in Alabama on December 6 has turned into an online meme fest in no time. The latest victim is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

'The Daily Show' shared a hilarious video of DeSantis involved with his 'inner thoughts' during a break in the debate. The satirical TV show posted the video on X with a narrator giving a voiceover of the Governor's 'internal thoughts'. The video had the caption, "Just be normal, Ron. You got this."

In the 48-second video, the Republican candidate is seen reading his debate points with concentration, tapping both his hands on his thighs, checking his phone, and waving his hands at someone in the background.

Though the video seems pretty normal, the voiceover made it the funniest moment from the GOP debate. The narrator humorously tries to say out loud the thoughts that may have been going on in the candidate's mind at the time.

The narrator said, "Remember, Ron, you are normal. You are not weird. You are 5'11". Your suit is soft, and your shoes are grown-up big boy shoes."

DeSantis started to tap his hands, and the narrator said, "That's it, pretend you are listening to music. Human music good. Check the phone, normal style."

The video also gave funny dialogues for each of DeSantis's activities. "Remember, you are a Ron DeSantis. You aren't just normal, you're also totally not weird," the video concluded.

The Florida governor is in a tight competition for second place with fellow Republican candidate Nikki Haley. However, Donald Trump still maintains a dominant lead as the GOP candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
