‘I will not sugarcoat the situation’: 'RHOP' star Robyn Dixon opens up about her departure from show

POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Robyn Dixon, an original and vital part of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' cast, has revealed the true explanation for her decision not to return for the show's upcoming season.

The TV personality shared on the April 15 episode of her ‘Reasonably Shady’ podcast, as reported by TooFab, “I will not be returning (for) Season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac.’ It's reality. The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words.”

She continued, “And I will not sugarcoat the situation and say, 'Ooh, I am walking away and this is a break' or anything like this. This was a network decision.”

Dixon also asserted that she was “okay with it because nothing lasts forever. I've had a very long run on the show. I just really appreciate the time and the opportunity that I had on the show.”

The 45-year-old actress then took a moment to express her gratitude for all the love she received from her audience.

“Thank you to the fans who have watched us from day one. I do want to especially thank all of the fans and viewers who have supported me, and showed love to me,” she stated.

She added, “I hope I inspired you -- the viewers, the fans -- to live your life authentically, to not feel pressure to change for anyone or impress people, and just to be yourself.”

Robyn Dixon calls Gizelle Bryant ‘my partner in crime’

In the episode, Dixon also spoke about her former co-star and current podcast co-host, Gizelle Bryant.

She told her, “I really want to say I love you. It's been such a fun, amazing, stressful, crazy, wild journey for the past eight years. I couldn't imagine doing what we did with anyone else.”

“To my green-eyed bandit, my partner in crime. Although we still have Reasonably Shady, I'm still going to talk to you all the time and see you all the time, I hate that that part of our friendship is not there anymore,” the mother-of-two mentioned.

Candiace Dillard Bassett also leaves 'RHOP' 

This came days after Candiace Dillard Bassett also revealed her departure from ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’.

She told People last month, “As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey.”

“With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP,” the 37-year-old added.

Meanwhile, Dixon's departure has attracted some attention online with a Facebook user commenting, "It was long overdue!!! I’m calling for Gizelle’s head next!!!"

Another user wrote, "Let’s see if Gizelle can stand alone without Robyn. They both need each other. Robyn should have been gone last season."

"I like Gizelle without Robin. I think they will bring Sharice back and Gizelle will cling to her or she may even cling to Karen whom have been there for her. We shall see," one more posted.

Another user shared, "She was fired because she kept her stuff too private and Bravo wasn't having that."

One added, "I will miss her hopefully Wendy is next she’s the real villain."
