LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emily Blunt may be ready for another round of sleepless nights, especially if Steven Spielberg is involved. Speaking during a recent interview with the director, the actress shared that she is drawn to projects that challenge her, scare her, and completely capture her attention.
For Blunt, the most rewarding roles are the ones that push her into unfamiliar territory.
Those are qualities she appears to have found while working with Spielberg on 'Disclosure Day', their first collaboration. While she did not confirm any future plans, Blunt made it clear that she would gladly take on another project with the filmmaker if the opportunity arose.
Emily Blunt hopes to reunite with Steven Spielberg
While sitting beside each other and answering questions, Blunt shared what she looks for when choosing her next project. Recalling her approach to selecting roles, Blunt said, "You know, for me, it's a discovery every time."
"And you know, you kind of hope for something great every year that goes by, and I do play the waiting game until something really just kidnaps me, and that I haven't done before. And I want to feel extremely scared at the idea of doing it. I like the sleepless nights."
"I like having the screws tightened on me. I like that feeling, putting your feet to the fire with something new, so I don't know, and I can never sort of specify what I might do next. I'm just hoping I do it with him," she added, gesturing toward Spielberg and hinting that she would gladly embrace another challenging project with the director should the opportunity arise.
Without missing a beat, Spielberg returned the sentiment, saying, "I feel the same way. Yeah, I feel the same way. Yeah, exactly. I mean, I've made. I've made five films with Tom Hanks, I've done, I think, five with Harrison Ford. This is only my first with Emily Blunt, but we're gonna make it. Yeah, we're going to top that."

Blunt went on to explain how Spielberg's presence impacted everyone involved in the production.
"He's, you know, even though he does everything he can to dispel the fact that he's an icon, it's such a privilege to get to work with him. And it moved me so much. We all just adore him. We all just worship him, really," she added.
