NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jesse Watters, the host of Fox News' ‘Jesse Watters Primetime,’ has openly criticized the proposed border bill, urging President Joe Biden to take action and close the border in response to the influx of migrants entering the United States.

This came following the long-awaited package which includes $118 billion in funding where $60 billion is for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel, and $20 billion to control illegal immigration at the southern border.

Following this news, Watters took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share his monologue with his followers as many people on the internet joined the host in his remarks.

Jesse Watters shreds border bill

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters took to X and wrote, “Primetime read the border bill so you don’t have to and we found that it wouldn’t stop a single migrant from breaking into our country. So what’s the $20 billion for? Processing illegals, handouts and loopholes.”

In his monologue, he said, “Biden...could shut down the border tomorrow. He doesn't need Congress to give him additional power. All presidents have had the power since 1952. Title 8, Section 12 of the US code.”

“Hate to read it, but I will: "Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may, by proclamation, and for such periods as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”

He continued, “So, the president, who has the power to close the border, says he needs $120 billion so we can close the border? But the architect of the bill says the border never closes? Do you get it now?”

“Do you really think Biden is going to be rounding up migrants in Chicago into ice busses during the Democratic National Convention this summer? If you believe that, then you fell for it.”

Many X users supported Jesse Watters's take on the border bill.

One person wrote, “If they pass this, every last one who voted for it, should be charged with treason,” and another said, “Less than 20 per cent of this bill goes to border security..80 per cent goes to foreign countries. Another money laundering job!!”

An X user simply praised Watters, “Best monologue ever Jesse, and solid work by the producers.  Y’all nailed it!” and another wrote, “Everyone in this country should be made to watch this!!! Perfectly explained by Jessie!!!”

One more person said, “No on the bill! Langford should be embarrassed!” and another wrote, “It’s total nonsense and a money laundering operation!!!”
