NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently took a brutal jab at NBC News after the channel shared an article on a Senate staffer who allegedly had sex in a hearing room and was fired.

The US Capitol Police informed Fox News that they are aware of an amateur pornographic video released by the Daily Caller on Friday.

The video purportedly features an individual, identified as a congressional staffer, involved in a sexual encounter with another man in Hart Senate Office Building room 216.

According to the Daily Caller report, the video was leaked after being “shared in a private group for gay men in politics.”

The identities of the individuals involved have not been officially confirmed. Ingraham took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam NBC and share their article with her followers.

Following her tweet, several X users backed Ingraham’s bashing of NBC News, calling it “trash.”

Laura Ingraham calls NBC News 'anti-Republican' following leaked sex tape

Fox News host Laura Ingraham took to X and wrote, “NBC never fails to find its anti-Republican angle. Senate staffer alleged by conservative outlets to have had sex in a hearing room is no longer employed.”

Ingraham’s tweet presented an article from NBC News titled, “Senate staffer alleged by conservative outlets to have had sex in a hearing room is no longer employed.”

In the article, it was reported that Senator Ben Cardin's office has severed ties with a staff member following allegations from conservative news outlets that he was in the leaked video of two men engaging in sexually explicit behavior in a Senate hearing room.

The Maryland Democrat’s office told NBC News, “Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the US Senate. We will have no further comment on this personnel matter.”

On Friday, The Daily Caller, a conservative news outlet, released a video of a congressional staffer engaging in a sexual act with an unidentified man in a Senate hearing room. The outlet claimed the video was circulated within a private group for gay men in politics.

Subsequently, conservative sources alleged that Maese-Czeropski, a legislative aide for Senator Cardin, was one of the individuals featured in the video.

However, NBC News has not verified the authenticity of the video or the identities of those involved.

In response, on Friday night, Maese-Czeropski posted on LinkedIn, acknowledging that he had "poor judgment" in the past. However, he asserted that he “would never disrespect my workplace.”

He wrote, “This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda. While some of my actions in the past have shown poorjudgmentt, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.”

He added, “Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.”

Internet calls NBC News ‘trash’

After Laura Ingraham slammed NBC News for taking an "anti-Republican" stance, many X users backed the Fox News host.

One person wrote, “Yet another striking illustration of NBC's unmistakable bias lies in their deliberate emphasis on unverified allegations directed at a conservative Senate staffer, all the while conveniently disregarding crucial matters.”

Another user slammed the news outlet, saying, “I'm ready to believe Pravda before I believe NBC,” and one also wrote, “Sadly millions of people rely on NBC as their main source for news.”

An X user simply wrote, “@NBCNews You've outdone yourself with this one.  The only reason we even know who he is, is his admitting what he did!”

One more person alleged, “NBC is not a credible news outlet,” and another said, “@NBCNews is trash."
