Internet divided as Gypsy Rose Blanchard announces new unscripted reality show with husband Ryan Anderson
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Gypsy Rose Blanchard's initial days of liberation are set to be captured in an upcoming docuseries.
Blanchard, who is now 32, was handed a 10-year prison sentence for second-degree murder after reportedly convincing her former boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn to murder her mother.
However, she was granted early release in December last year.
The convicted felon has consistently embraced public attention - having made appearances on 'Dr Phil', 'Good Morning America', and '20/20', as well as featuring in Lifetime's recent documentary, 'The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard'.
The cable network has now approved a new unscripted series - yet to be named - that will document her life after incarceration.

"Millions have followed Gypsy's story and are invested in seeing what is in store for her next," Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive VP and head of programming for A&E, Lifetime and LMN, stated, per Daily Mail.
"After a lifetime of trauma and serving her time, we are all rooting for Gypsy to embrace all that life has to offer and become the woman she always wanted to be,"
The series, scheduled to debut later this year, commences in the days leading up to her release on December 28, after she had already served eight and a half years of her 10-year sentence.
The show will highlight her fresh start with her husband, Ryan Anderson, and delve into Gypsy's efforts to reconcile her infamy with her aspiration to lead a life of freedom.

Another person said, "Pretty Sure if anyone of us went through what she did and that was the only way out most of us would make the same choice."
One person debated, "Ridiculous that you are still calling her a murderer!! Her mom put her through hell and was murdering her! But I guess you're ok with child abuse!"
A follower wrote, "The people who criticize her have no idea of the hell she went through being abused by her mother, now she is free, respect the lives of others!!!"
Another joked, "Ew at the fact that this guy really thinks he’s some big celeb now because of her."
"There’s no reason for people to watch it," someone else mentioned.
One person added, "Thought you said you wanted to maintain a private like like in your emails you sent in jail."
