NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Tuesday (December 12) night's episode of ‘Hannity’, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity responded to what he termed as a "disingenuous" apology from Harvard president Claudine Gay.

This comes after she faced criticism for not condemning the genocide of Jews during a challenging hearing on the Hill last week.

Hannity underscored the recent resignation of UPenn's president, Liz Magill, just two days ago, citing it as a result of a similar testimony to Claudine Gay's.

Both university leaders faced criticism for failing to condemn antisemitism on their campuses.

Following this news, Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his monologue titled 'So Sorry' mocking Gay, with his 6.4 million followers.

However, the internet did not respond positively to Hannity’s tweet as several X users took a brutal jab at the host.

Sean Hannity bashes Claudine Gay’s apology

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “HANNITY MONOLOGUE: Harvard's President Claudine Gay Gets a 'Free Pass' [WATCH]. HANNITY: "At Harvard, [Claudine Gay] will skirt by with a simple apology. Claudine Gay is quote ‘sorry if she offended anyone’ —I don’t consider that an apology.”

Hannity’s tweet presented an article from his official website titled, “HANNITY MONOLOGUE: Harvard's President Claudine Gay Gets a 'Free Pass' [WATCH].”

In the article, he featured his take where he responded strongly to Harvard’s decision to give Claudine Gay a “free pass” after what he deemed as her “abhorrent” congressional testimony on antisemitism at the prestigious school.

Hannity also posted another tweet of his monologue adding, "Harvard's president gets a 'free pass'."

In his take, Hannity said, “The president of Harvard is now getting a free pass. Claudine Gay just received what is a unanimous vote of confidence by the university's governing board after this abhorrent testimony about genocide and virulent anti-Semitism now festering all over her campus.”

He continued, “She said it would depend on whether actions were associated with it. Now Claudine Gay knows the context. A global intifada is a demand for violence against Jews, the elimination of Israel and when protesters hold signs that read ‘by any means necessary,’ they are praising what are the barbaric terrorist attacks on October the 7th and calling for more of the same.”

“Now, the entire student body at Harvard, they have been harassed by radical Hamas sympathizers ever since October the 7th in that terror attack. But Claudine Gay, didn't seem to care,” she said.

Hannity further explained, “Anyway, Gay told the Harvard Crimson that she, quote, got caught up in what had become at that point an extended combative exchange about policies and procedures. Not really.”

“According to Gay, Harvard takes free speech and free expression very seriously. But in reality, in truth, well, she's wrong, because this year, Harvard was named the worst school when it comes to freedom of speech in America by scoring a whopping 0.0 in a study by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression,” Hannity concluded.

Internet slams Sean Hannity for bashing Claudine Gay

After Sean Hannity took a brutal jab at Claudine Gay after the president faced a backlash of congressional testimonies on antisemitism, many X users blasted the Fox News host.

One person wrote, “No one cares what you think except the very foolish,” and another had a similar opinion, “We don’t care what you think. You lost the moral high ground a long time ago.”

An X user simply slammed Hannity adding, “You have no better news to report? You are the male Wendy Williams of Fox News,” and another wrote, “I’d like to hear you apologize for all the lies and misinformation you’ve spread throughout your s**t career.”

One more person called out Hannity, “#SeanHannity you are a piece of s**t.”

Another blasted the host saying, “You wouldn’t know what an apology is, you looser,” and one mocked Hannity, “Hannity always goes with the safe story. All the world is talking about Hunter Biden and Hannity picks the softball.”
