'Sounds like a scared little man’: Trump trolled as he threatens to indict Biden if he is re-elected
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: This week, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit is scheduled to hear oral arguments concerning Donald Trump's request to obtain presidential immunity from prosecution on allegations related to his attempts to invalidate the 2020 election results.
While the Supreme Court may ultimately review the decision, Trump is already advocating for the indictment of President Joe Biden if things do not pan out the way he hopes.

In a statement posted late Sunday night on his beleaguered social media platform, Truth Social, Trump confirmed his intentions to attend the hearings in person, specifying that he would pursue Biden's indictment if he is elected in November should he be denied blanket immunity.
What did Trump’s Truth Social Post entail?
Donald Trump wrote, “I will be attending the the Federal Appeals Court Arguments on Presidential Immunity in Washington, DC, on Tuesday. Of course I was entitled, as President of the United States and Commander in Chief, to Immunity. I wasn’t campaigning, the Election was long over. I was looking for voter fraud, and finding it, which is my obligation to do, and otherwise running running our Country.”
The Republican presidential frontrunner added, “If I don’t get Immunity, then Crooked Joe Biden doesn’t get Immunity, and with the Border Invasion and Afghanistan Surrender, alone, not to mention the Millions of dollars that went into his “pockets” with money from foreign countries, Joe would be ripe for Indictment. By weaponizing the DOJ against his Political Opponent, ME, Joe has opened a giant Pandora’s Box.”
In December last year, an application made by Special Counsel Jack Smith to expedite a verdict on whether President Trump was immune to prosecution for any criminal activities committed during his tenure was dismissed by the Supreme Court.
This followed a ruling by DC District Judge Tanya Chutkan, which rejected President Trump's attempt to dismiss the Department of Justice's election interference lawsuit against him.
Per Rolling Stone, Judge Chutkan stated in her December 11 ruling that the president's "four-year service as Commander in Chief did not bestow on him the divine right of kings to evade the criminal accountability that governs his fellow citizens," adding that "whatever immunities a sitting president may enjoy, the United States has only one chief executive at a time, and that position does not confer a lifelong 'get-out-of-jail-free' pass."

The ongoing case of the Justice Department has currently come to a standstill, awaiting a higher court ruling on the matter of presidential immunity.
If the DC Court of Appeals or the US Supreme Court, should they choose to rule on the appeal, decide in favor of Trump, it would not only undermine the DOJ's case but also most likely disrupt a separate case of election interference and racketeering brought against Trump and his associates and loyalists in Georgia.
Without providing any supporting proof in the Truth Social post, Trump has claimed that Biden and his administration are ordering criminal proceedings against him.

Jack Smith, the Special Counsel, denied the allegations. However, he recently sought a judge to force Trump to keep politics out of court, raising concerns that jurors may acquit him even if they know he's guilty, according to Business Insider.
It should be noted that the president's son Hunter Biden is presently the subject of an investigation by the same Justice Department.
Irrespective of the court's verdict, Trump has been planning his retaliation against prosecutors and Democrats for months now.

The former president and his allies have already begun laying the foundation to restructure and potentially weaponize the Justice Department to execute the far-right's agenda.
One projected reform is likely to be the formation of an 'Office of Election Integrity', aimed at legitimizing Trump's unfounded allegations of electoral fraud in 2020.
In November, Trump hinted that if re-elected, he would use his government powers to prosecute his political opponents, in an interview with Mexican journalist, Enrique Acevedo of Univision.
Trump stated at the time, “What they’ve done is they’ve released the genie out of the box. If they do this and they’ve already done it, but if they want to follow through on this, yeah, it could certainly happen in reverse."
He added, “If I happen to be president, and I see somebody who is doing well and beating me very badly, I’ll say, ‘go down and indict them'."
Internet trolls Trump for warning what might happen if his immunity bid fails
People on X ridiculed Trump for coming up with innovative ways to scare his opponents and often coming of in his social media posts as keeping the country hostage with a gun to its head if things don't pan out the way he intends them to.

Because right now there's only one person for whom there is extensive evidence of that. Actual receipts. I mean, I'm not against it, just asking"

Another user wrote: "Must take Dictator Don seriously; believing what he says. And know he projects whenever speaking. Here, he threatens to impeach and incarcerate our president by accusing him of doing all the things he himself has done. He just flips it around. Furthermore, he clearly intends for Congress, law enforcement, the military, and the judiciary to work in compliance with his orders. A radical shift from democracy to authoritarianism is in store. Watch out America, if he gets in, you will be flipped out at what he will do beginning day one."
